Sure ped, we believe you. We’re shaking in our boots over here, can’t you tell?
Regarding my lack of vote at the end of Day 1, I spaced, pure and simple. I didn’t really have a handle on who to vote for, and dithered a bunch and then the Day ended. In retrospect, my comment was wrong, and not because I didn’t vote. It was Day 1, and there was no really strong candidate, so a low amount of votes for the eventual lynchee should have been expected. Today’s lynch shows how wrong I was I think, since it’s almost certainly going to end pretty damn close to unopposed. Speaking of which…
Vote pedescribe
Your actions recently have really cemented this home for me. I don’t believe your recent stuff, but the fact that you’re a scum of some variety cannot be disputed at this point.
I have no issues with letting people know in advance when a Witch dies as long as I’m still alive when it happens. Would anyone object if I waited a bit however, til say just before the actual reveal? That would still work to confirm me without exposing me unnecessarily early.
Exposing you as what? Scum? You are already exposed as a witch.
Yes CIAS that is exactly what I was suggesting. And it appears that everyone seems to be forgetting that if one Witch is dead, we can ONLY investigate OR protect, not both. If I hold off on confirming that a Witch died, the scum won’t know that we’re limited quite as soon. Let’s use CIAS’s list to show what I mean.
If I tell you Day 3 that the person that died is a Witch, the scum know that we can EITHER protect or investigate that Night, not both. If I wait until just before Dawn Day 5, we can sneak in a couple extra investigations while being able to maintain the facade that I’m Night protected without having to play WIFOM games with the scum. Is that clearer?

That, plus the Witch in question might be coming back the next day. I say you should use your own judgement on this, in the same way sache used his as coroner last game.

I’m just waiting for the list of who he hatted…

I really wish I wasn’t spoiled on the batman game when this was going down; I have NO idea how I would have reacted to that!
Seems like the pedescribe claim is somewhat bizzare…but I’m with the crew above that will just plain ignore it. I hope tomorrow we find something out from our resident detective (Or will it be Tonight?) as I can sort of see that the nightkill of brewha confirming his story.
Also, what’s up with peekercpa? He’s been really really involved. I know that that’s his playstyle, but he’s obviously not being dissuaded by his role. Let’s see…scum want to be quiet. So do witches, seers, and other important roles, so I bet he’s a freemason
peeker was probably the most frequent poster in Doperville, despite being scum. I don’t think that much can be taken from his activity… I think he just likes to talk.

Is that a subtle hint or a sledgehammer aimed in my direction. :dubious:
You’re awfully threatening for a guy on the gibbet on Day Two.
Yeah, we’re terrified. Hand over your super secret Night kill to one of your cohorts. Maybe they’ll use it as effectively as you used yours.

It seems to me that the true intent of this claim is to allow everyone to vote for him (since his doom is assured, not really any risk), meaning that Town gets very little data from who voted for him and who didn’t.
In that, I guess, mission accomplished. But I don’t think it would have changed much - we don’t really have any other vote leaders.

Hey, wait a minute I resemble that remark.
Like a lot of other US dopers the upcoming three day weekend will most likely entail golf, swimming/boating, inordinate cunsumption of your potent potable of choice and blowing stuff up so I won’t be around as much. Note to Homeland Security - blowing stuff up entails items something along the lines of empty beer cans and fingers. As the old quote says: “It was funny until someone got hurt. Then it became hilarious”. This coming from someone who still has a scar from a roman candle dogfight that went astray (1/2 inch lower and a little to the left and I’d currently be minus an eye).
Obviously pede swings today. We’ve already got some leads to continue discussing.
nannook’s plan sounds, upon further elaboration, reasonable.
CIAS can do what he will with his power. I would make a suggestion, at this point, that an Oxygen Network investigation would not be my first choice, personally.

Aahh, yes. My boyfriend and his friends call that a “wizard’s duel”. They do it out on the train tracks, so it’s a little bit like strip fencing.
The kind of fencing you do on a strip, not the kind of fencing where you take your clothes off. Although that would be hilarious.

Sounds about right. But we always played in teams of 3 - 5 to a side. And we carried multiple “weapons” so you never knew if some fucker was sneaking up behind you until one of the flaming balls whizzed over your head or nearby. Try lighting a re-load as you are hauling ass through the woods. I mean you never knew whether they had an 8 or 12 shot.
[Clint Eastwood]So tell me are you feeling lucky, punk[/Clint Eastwood].
Kind of surprised that we didn’t burn down central Texas in retrospect.
And playing nekkid. That only happened after we got back to the ladies who were just shaking their heads the entire time.
His subsequent reaction has been…odd, to say the least. You would think that if he were the Vig he’d be trying a little harder to not be lynched (although, I suppose, given our paranoid nature we’d cite that as being overdefensiveness and lynch him anyway). Still, it does read like he was caught off guard and made up his claim on the fly, so I’ll vote pedescribe.
Warning: I missed this vote on my first read through because it’s not a separate line.
If, however, you investigate brewha we would, most likely, discover the identity of some other bad guy/girl. (I hope, at least, that the Witches didn’t try to off him). Like you say, however, that kill can be credited to the Vampire.
That leaves Santo. If, of course, he wasn’t killed by the Witches.
Actually this is twice now it has been suggested that I should investigate brewha because I am more likely to discover the identity of a Killer, which at this point would be a Wolf given **pedescribe’s ** claim (with extra large dose of salt).
DiggitCamara: I really want you to explain the line above. How can you know that the kill can be credited to the Vampire in advance of me actually getting any results?
So **DiggitCamara ** and Koldanar - what do you two know that the rest of us don’t :dubious:

And to add before I go trekking through the woods searching for Titleists - if brewha was believed in his claim (and I believe so because of his death) then if we have a Withchdoctor there is a good chance that he will be rejoining this merry group shortly already knowing who killed him.
Sledgehammers CIAS into a corner for my own personal agenda.

i’ve lost track of when days start and end. It would seem we are not on th originally planned friday - wednesday days. Could someone educate me?

A chance to fight ignorance
Day Two: Mon Jun 30 - Wed Jul 9
Night Two: Wed Jul 9 - Fri Jul 11
Day Three: Fri Jul 11 - Wed Jul 16
Night Three: Wed Jul 16 - Fri Jul 18
etc.
Things come into line from Night 2 onwards. This Day happens to be especially long because of some American holiday they insist on being absent for.

I don’t get why we go so wild about the holiday, either. I mean, an anniversery of when we collectively told some addle-brained old fart and his cronies where they could stick it? Most Americans do that two or three times before lunch.
