Mafia: Conspiracy 2: The Cabal Strikes Back! [Game Over]

(This, by the way, illustrates a fundamental difference in the way CatinaSuit and I view the world: When he was caught, he became proactive in an attempt to stitch together a Scum Alliance. Me? I just want to screw over as many factions as possible. Hopefully, Nookie will be a Cabalist, and Cat can unearth several more Wolves before he finally gets chopped down)

So, to recap whats happened this weekend, Nanook claims wolf for Dio, Dio says nuh-uh, I’m a warlock…oh wait, no I’m a vampire, and Nanook can’t be a witch since he screwed up what scum I am? I just want to make sure I’m getting this right.

crap wrong color

Changed my mind. Went for the fake claim: Warlock, because I’d been planning it all game long. Upon further consideration, I think that I can do the best for my team (which will be down by two players, now) by trying to screw over the other scum factions.

Ok… got ya. This is two days in a row I haven’t had a chance to go for a vote that wasn’t a given. I guess thats the usual in a game with this much going on.

Well, whatever you are Dio, I have no problem putting the noose around your neck.

Vote Diomedes

So Nanook will presumably be in limbo until Day 5, yes?

Holy crap, I go away for a few hours and this happens?

vote Diomedes

I don’t suppose you have any other deep, dark secrets you want to share, Diomedes?

(Go away, sudden paranoid thoughts!)

If **Dio ** is telling the truth, and **CIAS ** is the detective, he should be able to give us the identity of **Roosh’s ** killer toNight. So tomorrow’s lynch should be assured, and if **Dio ** turns up Undead in the reveal toMorrow at dusk, then **Nookie ** is next on the block. Plus, if **Pedescribe ** was truly a Vamp and **Dio ** is the only remaining Vamp, then we are down to the Wolf kill at night. (The possibility of a Vig not withstanding.) This will give **CIAS ** a clear shot to mow down the Wolf faction provided he stays alive.

Grrr. Arrgh.

Errr. I mean brains?

Yeah, that’s the ticket

BRRRAAAAAIIINNNS!!

Welcome to the Corporation, brewha. I think you’ll do fine.

What you meant to say, brewha, was BARHAH!

If that’s still current in Urban Dead - I haven’t played in more than a year.

Well, Koldanar, it looks like one way or another there are some pretty certain votes coming up, at least once we know about Diogenes and probably beforehand even if CIAS is lying scum - we’ll have to lynch to find out. So a mass reveal would really have been kind of pointless - the lynch path has been pretty obvious to date.

If brewha’s town, shouldn’t he really be saying “Mrh?” then?

So let me see here. Events of toDay:

Omi no Kami says some extremely suspicious things at the beginning of the Day. Hal jumps on him, others are suspicious

Nanook comes in, says Diomedes is a wolf. Time to test Nanook’s witch claim and kill off Dio. Everybody jumps on and goes “WHEEEEE!”

Dio claims he’s a warlock, then changes his mind and claims he’s a vampire and Nanook is lying. Says pedescribe was his buddy vampire, and he wants to screw people over as much as possible. Says since his buddy vampire is dead and he forgot to send in his kill, a wolf must have killed Roosh.

If this is true, then we basically have a shooting gallery lined up: Diomedes today, the hairy killer of Roosh tomorrow, and Nanook on Day 5 (if Dio comes up anything other than wolf).

Do any other scum want to come out and say who they are to make this even easier for us?

Vote Diomedes

Just curious about something though. Dio, you say pedescribe was your Vampire buddy…but in the rules Pleo explicitly states:

Care to explain that one?

I know you’re scum and all, but I don’t mind answering this since I’ve explained our thought process before, so it won’t be letting out any major secrets. CIAS will not be investigated since his role is self confirmable. Sooner or later, preferably sooner, he will come up with an actual name and then town can test it, kinda like this is my test. Whether or not he’s lying will then be settled. Peeker, eh maybe, but at least early the idea is to investigate stronger players that are likely to survive in order to set up an end game with as many confirmed as possible. Hitting a scum is just a lucky break, but not one that I’m going to complain about in any way.

Geeze, I go away for a little bit and we get another scum to admit. This is a little weird for me comming off of the newb game and getting shut out. So what else can we talk about since there is no need for a mass claim?

Nanook, I guess you’re assuming stronger players are less likely to make poor-play mistakes that cause them to get their necks stretched? Of course, we all know that confirmed Town is more valuable than confirmed Scum - it does seem especially true in this game in which our potential lynch targets seem so obviously laid out one after the other.

Not necessarily, I mean look at storyteller in Cecilvania. But they are more likely to be able to talk or explain their way out of a mistake. And yes, confirmed town are especially valuable when you have easy early lynches, since easy lynches early leave you with less to go on later.

And what, precisely, will your explanation be when I come up as Undead instead of a Wolf?

don’t matter what explanation is proffered. If you come up undead, Nanook goes bye bye. I kind of hope you do, as that would mean our real witches (assuming we have any) are quietly amassing invstigations, whilst at the same time we are lynching scum aftr scum. Looks OK from here.

Well, well, well, what an interesting weekend.

A few thoughts coming up later, but for now the easy part.

Been waiting to do this for quite a while

This is the second time you have used a complete assumption about the game to justify something.

Once to unvote **pedescribe ** citing there must be a Vig in the game.
Second to say why you would have investigated Santo Rugger.

So then, what is your proposed set up of the game seeing as you have made all these assumptions. I’m interested.
