Mafia: Conspiracy 2: The Cabal Strikes Back! [Game Over]

Hey everyone, sorry I’ve been quiet the past couple of days. Work was surprisingly hectic and I’ve had a bunch of extracurricular evening things going on eating up my game time. I should be back in stride tomorrow night, when hopefully I’ll have the time to help figure out this Diggit claim, which right now I honestly can’t wrap my mind around.

You are correct. I am an idiot. Didn’t even consider this one when thinking of the possibilities.

Having said that I can’t see a town aligned vig taking out Santo. What would he have done that warranted such action so early?

So, maybe you have some insight that you would like to share, or not.

Unfortunately not.

I’ve been trying to look back at Night 1 in the light of what we now know and see what theories still make sense, then trying to see how they can explain the one kill on Night Two.

Hopefully I’ll have something done by this evening, but don’t hold your breath.

So roosh killed pygmy?

Isn’t roosh town?

He would have to be the vig, right, for this to work.

In which case I have to throw a vote just to wake this burg up a wee bit.

Heads Hal, tails Mhaye.

And I got some head (seems appropriate considering the sexual proclivity of my nominee)

Vote Hal Briston

Fuck dude at least we are trying. The permutations are friggin’ endless at this point. And I don’t want to open a whole can of Whoop Ass on my butt but …

The undead are going to bite us in the arse pretty dang quick if we don’t get the Nec. Was there some cross fire last night. Me hopes.

Until then I am going fishing for those undead souls that are hanging under the radar.

And now I am truly doomed. Because on top of the mass role claim I am also going to suggest a lynch the necrolurker strategy.

Fuck, maybe it will generate some discussion.

i wanr ro hear from Nanook before I consider voting

Yeah, that’s one of the things I’ve been waiting for as well.

I must say, though, I’m having a really hard time buying Roosh as Vig.

Ok, let’s put down all the assumptions we need to have for this situationto be true and see how it looks.

  1. DiggitCamara is a Warlock
  2. Roosh is a Vigilante
  3. A Vigilante (Roosh) decides to kill Town (Santo Rugger) on Night one.
  4. A Warlock (DiggitCamara) decides to enchant the same target as the Vigilante.
  5. On Night 2, there was a mixture of blocks or no-attacks resulting in no deaths.
  6. The curse affected the Vigilante on Night 2.

Problems with this:

a) This means the Vigilante did decide to kill on Night 1 with very little information and given that Roosh didn’t really start the game on Day 1, I really doubt this. After all, his vote at the end of Day 1 was still on Dotchan.

b) Both of you targeted Santo Rugger on Night 1. That in itself is unlikely, although stranger things have happened.

c) There were no Night Kills on Night 2. This is getting really unbelievable now.

Or

DiggitCamara is a likely Wolf who killed Roosh on Night 2.

Hmm, I know which way I am likely to be voting.

I’m in complete agreement with that assessment, Cat. I had forgotten about Roosh missing most of Day 1, which makes the whole series of presumptions even less likely.

I guess I’ll get this ball rolling, with the reservation that if Nanook comes back with something even more solid, I can always change my vote later. But Occam’s Razor says…

Vote DiggitCamera

Poorly played in my opinion. We have to turn up the heat on all of the scum factions. If today turns out to be a mindless march to lynch DC then we are truly screwed. Only scum are going to be looking for a convenience kill. Don’t mean that DC is not scum but that by starting off down this bunny hole is bad for the town.

As such, I will

Unvote Hal Briston

Vote Drain Bead

I know that bad ideas are not necessarily scum ideas but at this point what’s a poor townie to do but get rid of bad ideas.

And I figure to get a ration of crap for the next statement but I would like the town to win and would be remiss to myself if I did not say it.

Friggin’ undead are going to be our (the town’s) undoing. The Nec is doing his gastardly stuff in creating zombies and the other factions are stacking them like kindling.

The Nec has just got to be, in my opinion, an under the radar player.

Man, do I feel good about both of my votes as I type this out.

I have to say that if Cat is right and Diggit is in fact a Wolf killer, then we should not vote for him. We should leave him on the shelf.

The wolves will kill without him. Granted, investigations could then turn up another wolf. On the other hand, I think the town’s most at threat at this moment from the Undead faction, which can grow and grow. So, best case scenario if we don’t lynch Diggit, if he is in fact a wolf, is that we catch a Necromancer. Best case scenario under the same assumptions if we do lynch the bird in the hand is that we don’t stop any killings at all and maybe find another wolf, of which we know there are probably several.

We can always lynch Diggit Tomorrow. I think the town is growing soft and weak with these obvious lynches. We know Diggit is not a Vampire, because Cat got a result on him. I say we go looking for undead toDay.

Well, that makes one of us. You vote for Hal was a coin flip, apparently, between him and MHaye, with no reason I can discern for why those two were on the block. Your vote for **Drain Bead **was because (near as I can tell) she voted for the person who Cat says is killed Roosh. Now, I’m not ready just yet to vote for Diggit, but it doesn’t seem unreasonable to me to place such a vote.

You know I love ya, peeker, from our time as Masons in Simpletown, but to be honest both of these votes kinda suck.

Now, on to Diggit. Ooh, on preview I see Zsofia has posted the following:

I’m not sure I agree about shelving Diggit. It’s not a bad plan, per se, but unless I am mistaken, lynching Diggit is the quickest way to test **Cat’s **claim. And if we can confirm him, then we have a huge advantage in being able to trust his readings every day. Of course, it will take a Day delay until the confirmation, but still.

On the other hand, we’ll know if Diggit is telling the truth once **Roosh’s **Role is revealed, which is dawn tomorrow IIRC. So whether we lynch him or not, we’ll know if he’s telling the truth then.

Hmmmm. Interesting risk/reward scenario. I can’t decide. But I will say this: it can’t hurt us to do some work toDay and see if we can come up with an alternate choice (hopefully with a better method than peeker’s coin flip :stuck_out_tongue: ). At least that way we won’t waste the Day.

Unless the wolves have chosen to throw Diggit under the bus to boost Cat’s credibility.

The difference between you and me is that you want to get rid of ideas, and I want to get rid of scum.

<Snipped all to hell>

Agreed. You really helped me in that game, my first ever.

I also learned in that game that sometimes a bird in hand is not worth as much as a potential covey in the bush.

I really think that the undead are the town’s biggest threat. If we believe CIAS then we have to believe that DC aint the Nec. If that holds any water then I am searching for an under the radar player/poster. Ergo, my votes.

And I would rather take a chance on a coin flip than have no chance at all.

Meh, in for a nickel.
P.s. I did appreciate your help in the first game but in this game you are as unconfirmed as they come. Sorry dude, just the way Mafia goes I guess. Don’t mean that I might show up some day and drink a beer or seven with you, however.

Ding ding ding I think we have a winner.

Never said anything about getting rid of ideas. Liar liar pants on fire.

I want to get rid of scum as well and am attempting to engage in discussion. I think that a mid to low level poster is thw Nec. You be the choice. Nothing personal, you understand, just the way the game goes. And since, I believe, you are bringing back the dead it’s time you were stopped.

You HONESTLY think that Drain Gead is a necro? Mind sharing why a necro, rather than any other scum?

**peekercpa ** and Zsofia, if you are worried about the Necro and the Undead, why don’t you come up with some ideas to find the faction in question rather than effectively saying “Let’s not kill an uncovered Wolf”.

It does look very scummy you know. Almost Wolf-like

And SF will undoubtedly correct me but I must be channeling BM.

And maybe I am not making myself clear - which would not be the first time, either here or in real life. If we believe you then we have a confirmed scum - yes. And I have not said that when it comes down to the end that if there is not a better target that I won’t vote for DC. Merely that taking down onesies that are not the Nec at this point is ultimately going to doom the town. And also that some chatter from some of the under radar posters would be beneficial. I mean seriously you and I could go back and forth all Day (and honestly I don’t think I have the stamina for it, although I would play Spasky to your Fisher if necessary) but I don’t see how that helps the town.

And I’ll go ahead and float the mass role claim baloon again.

Just working it here.
