My vote post in Day 4 is [post=10672934]post D04.236[/post]I maintain my own vote spreadsheet. I had the vote tied between BlaM and Hal. This was because of the record-keeping error referred to in [post=10684386D05.068[/post]. The error was that I had failed to record your vote against BlaM, and had not then traced the discrepancy.
Natlaw. if you’d read my Day 5 post you quoted, you’d see that you’ve made a couple of errors.
Firstly, as I said, I thought the vote by Special Ed created the tie,
Secondly, my original draft terminated with a vote for BlaM. Special Ed’s vote, made with twelve minutes left in the Day, was what sparked the consideration of voting for Hal.
As I started to look into it I realised that there was insufficient evidence to support the case (basically the case against Hal is “He’s a lurker” and I don’'t think that’s a good reason to vote anyone until you’ve eliminated all or most of the alternatives) so I squelched it and pasted the original analysis in again.
On preview : I see that votes are piling up on me. I’ll go get my role pm.
I’m just worried that this last minute flurry is precipitated by scum trying to get the pressure off of Hal. It’s just been in the last couple of hours that the vote has swung dramatically. This seem off to anyone else?
If MHaye swings and turns out to be town, I’ll be looking very close at those who changed their votes at the last minute.
At this point it might be better to keep quiet about just who (if anyone) I’ve been protecting. I will say that neither I nor my charges have not yet been attacked.
I’ll be around for the rest of the Day to answer questions.
Let’s say both MHaye and Hal are Town:
You have just given scum a real good reason for leaving the Mhaye-lynch for now… and not only that - you have also given scum a good lynch-candidate for toMorrow!
I don’t like the 2-candidate-theory! And to me you seem very fond of it…
My PM genera is “Vanilla”. Can one of the Mason’s please chime in? I’m assuming your genera was “Mason”, but it would be nice to know if it was instead “Special”.
So Hal takes a significant lead, the vote swings dramatically towards Mhaye in a short period of time, and that makes me fond of the 2 candidate theory? I fail to follow your reasoning.
I was commenting on how rapidly the vote leader changed. I’m really not sure how that gives scum reasons or lynch candidates. You’ve really lost me.
The real question is, does his role in any way explain his actions?
My answer? Yes. There has been a history of power roles lurking to avoid suspicion, though it seems to be a recent trend. And since MHaye is protected at night, it makes perfect since for him to do everything possible to keep himself from getting lynched. Given what happened to macey, I’m fairly certain scum don’t have pre-prepped power roles, and a scum strongman (of the Scottish variety) would be powerful enough, especially since we have already seen a scum strongman (of the lethal variety).
It explains a lot. Enough to move my vote
Unvote MHaye
back to Vote Almost Human
And as for lots of vote-changing: I don’t really think that’s a scum tell, since I do it all the time. But I’m biased on that topic.
Some quick thoughts because I’m getting pulled into a meeting.
I’m not inclined to move my vote at this time. brewha’s most recent statement bugs me, but that’s steeped in wifom as to whether he might be trying to divert to a Non-Mhaye target, or he’s trying to make a credibility deposit that will mature upon a townie Mhaye’s death reveal.
The double shotgun does strike me as quite powerful, and I still don’t see why Mhaye didn’t just tell us his targets if no one was attacked.
