Mafia: Evil Dead III Commentary. Dead people only! NO SPOILERS

I’ve always wanted to see a scum gambit involving actually giving town information for mutual gain. I thought it might happen in De’endee, but scum ended up not needing to. I can finally check that off my mafia bucket list.

Oh my god. You all are crazy. I can’t even begin to put the pieces together here.

Wow thats a lot of claims comming out there - almost a mass claim

My gut would be that those pushing for a Diver lynch first are Scum, they must want the 3rd pty dead dead dead.

Cookies rolled over pretty easily as well, seams odd, maybe a planned event - if anyone was outed then they need to get the info out there to help town get the 3rd pty. Is Diggit confirmed town - or just the Alpha wolf outing a fellow scum to get some cred and also get the info out there from Cookies. That was a pretty extensive case on cookies from nowhere, although if digit is truly town way to go DC.

Don’t believe ATPG - Story said recruitment was voluntary and I think the zombies are recruited.
Mind you I was thinking cookies was town, so what do I know.

Oh wait DC said bable should be lynched so I assume DC is the 2 nd Mason and so is bable

oops.

USCDiver would theoretically be the one who voluntarily switched win conditions. Suburban’s claim rings true to me, and third-party are nearish their win condition per Story’s comment. No idea how near, but lynching the third-party first is the percentage play.

What town needs to do is push LightFoot for a claim right this second. If she’s the doc, it doesn’t matter. If she’s something else and claims doc, she can be counterclaimed. But skirting by ANOTHER day without claiming after being outed is crazy suspicious. I’d bet she’s another third party, or scum.

Also, just read USCDiver’s claim. That last PM screams fake to me.

Yes agree on that , she has been left alone, and again, cookies letting LF off the hook doesn’t look good.

The claim doesn’t seam to have any particular pro town power - just looking after a book ?
Also why would he have been breadcrumbing if he was trying to keep it safe?
Maybe waiting for someone , not pro town, to contact him? Hence wanted to stay alive as tonight it would have been an obvious shot for whoever needs to contact him, to contact him.

That’s a fair point. Why breadcrumb if you need to hide? It’s a weird role all around… unless its third party.

Wondering if the book is the recruitment process - you keep it and you will learn you can join the deamon, if you pass it up you won’t. As the player has not control over where it lands - Story could keep it from landing on any gamebreaking roles.

Hah, the “wrong” person is doing the pro-town job of pressing Lightfoot for a claim. Fun!

Yep things have taken an interesting turn today.

And now Meeko is complaining about being confused, I thought he was the source of most confusion. That said he has been pretty quiet.

Y’know, I’ve said in the past that, given the choice between a lynch of a near-certain Scum and a near-certain PFK, I’d choose the PFK. Reason being, there’s plenty of Scum out there, and one less won’t generally make a difference in the short run (and in the long run, we’ll still kill em), but a kill of a PFK has a chance of completely knocking out an entire anti-Town faction, which would make a difference in the short run. Plus, of course, the Scum are a known element: We know (more or less) how they work, and what they need to do to win, but we don’t know what the PFKs do, or how they win.

I’ve said that, but I always thought it was just hypothetical, since I never thought I’d actually see a situation where there was a choice between a near-certain Scum and a near-certain PFK. Huh.

Oh, and Town should certainly happy that they’re getting fresh meat handed to them on a platter (a silver one, of course), but they should be careful not to get lazy about it. There are still other Scum out there to be found, and just because you’re not going to lynch them toDay doesn’t mean you should stop looking for them.

Calling it right now: USCDiver is a SK, and the demon. Anybody else want to place bets?

I knew **Cookies **was fuzzy! I knew it! First one I’ve ever gotten right, I think.

I vaguely recall storyteller making the possessor of the Book a miller before, so USCDiver’s claim is at least plausible.

BUT, if Suburban Plankton is truthful about his PM from storyteller, then the tone of the message certainly indicates that Plankton ‘got it right’ rather than ‘unfortunately investigated a townie miller.’ So I’m guessing USCDiver is a demon.

If he is, then I would take this as a lesson showing that moderators need to be ruthlessly emotionless in their correspondence with players. It’s too easy to tip teeny tiny things.

<just realized that this post was a spoiler. Never mind>

Of all the PMs, USCDiver’s last posted PM with Storyteller strikes me as the winner of the “most likely to be fabricated” pageant. For that alone, I’d trust Suburban over USCDiver. And there are plenty of reasons to lynch Diver anyway.

Nailed it!

I have to say, Town are doing very well. Red busted me wide open, of course; Diggit’s case on Cookies was brilliant - really good observation and deduction, on someone who was otherwise enjoying town cred from my demise; Suburban’s hit on Diver was also some top-notch pattern spotting. Then they made the right tactical decision on who to lynch.
