Yep they had a good day, I was worried it was all a bit late, now a PFK is dead that may give some more time. Great play by DC and plank.
Well if the scum were keen on getting rid of the 3rd party I would have expected them to be all over voting for USCDiver and getting cookies off the list to put some space between Cookie votes and Diver votes.
Texcat, Wombat and JB were pretty quick to do that .
Book 'em Danno
Also in post 1625 Cookies has the 3rd vote on 3 people, thus catagorically prooving the 3rd vote rule.
The “3rd vote” think is remarkably accurate, all things considered. It’s funny how people will jokingly add that to a list of reasons to vote for someone… and then be right!
The Third Vote issue dates back to M1 (the first game played here back in 06/07). It’s based on statistical analysis of a large number of games on a board where someone played that showed the third vote on a Townie was from a Mafiate more often than chance would predict.
I often use the third vote as a reason to look closer at a player - when I think of it.
While I’m here, I now feel happier about letting people into the spoiled board, so if you want spoilers you can let me know.
If you’ve requested spoilers and not received them, I’m sorry for not replying yet. If Storyteller or I haven’t sent the link, remind us.
Gee, you’re making me blush.
Actually, my case on Cookies was kind of a double take. I was looking at the list of people for townies (for spoilerific reasons) and suddenly it hit me: **Cookies ** was being far too friendly to me. Historically my take has been: if someone grates on your nerves, she’s probably town and vice versa.
Looking at her posts objectively, it was pretty obvious she was scum.
And USCDivers supposed PM simply left no other way out but to lynch him…
Speaking of brilliant: I need to find out if Pleonast really did lay out his own sacrifice for town’s sake.
Which would make wombat’s move
truly boneheaded. If true, of course.
Can’t find it. Already a Happy Ending?
I think Paranoia has had to change the theme.

Also, read Pleo’s game. It’ll tie your brain in knots.
Not sure if the variations in the number of night kills and zombifications would have indicated if USC could kill or raise. Mind you that would not explain the two zomies in one day, short of a metagame distracted Story getting mixed up and then catching up with annextra zombie. ( BTW GOOD LUCK STORY!)
Otherwise you need a power doubler role out there, also do we know for sure if there is a powerblocking role out and about?
What’s with people asking and voting for dead players!
Precambrian, I can answer your questions in PM if you like…
USC thanks but I am trying to remain clueless/unspoiled.
Good game and tough call getting caught by Plankton, it would have been pretty tough to come up with any claim that wouldn’t have gotton you lynched. I think Storeys very colorful role PMs make it hard to fake something unless you can match his style.
Yes I was kind of stuck at that point so I had to come up with something. I was surprised at how many people in-game took my claim at face value, especially compared to the guffaws it got over here.
Without spoiling anything, I was also very interested in the way story handled my death (last minute lack of awesomeness notwithstanding).
I think people took your claim at face-value because doing so led to the same place as disbelieving it. If you were lying, you needed to die, and if you were telling the truth, you needed to die, so it wasn’t worth spending much energy to decide whether you were lying or telling the truth.
What should I have done differently to avoid necessitating my lynch? Should I have claimed to have control over who the book went to? Seems like they would have lynched me and had me send it Diggit or babale in that case.
Claimed that if lynched it definitely went to the demon?
Honestly, I don’t think there was anything you could have done. If you had made a claim that (if true) wouldn’t require your lynch, then people would have looked at it more critically. Given someone claiming to be an investigator and claiming that someone else is a baddie, Town will almost always believe the claimed investigator and lynch the claimed baddie (and rightly so, since that route usually gives more information, and few folks lie about investigations, anyway). A miller claim is usually ignored, since it’s too easy. At best, you could have made a direct counterclaim (“No, I’m the real Demon Hunter; Suburban the Demon must have found me using his own powers, but he can’t deal with me directly”), but that would only have bought you a Day at most.
Or in other words, it’s a fair cop, but society is to blame. Eh, it happens.
That might have worked for a the one Day… who’s to say what would’ve happened the following Night though…muhhahahaha!
Howdy gang. I’ll have to watch my comments carefully, and there are some responses I can’t make yet. But I’m here, and I brought hookers and blow!
Man, I never really try to understand Meeko, so I usually try to find an opportunity to lynch him early, but this shit is pretty unbelievable even for him.
I won’t be a bit surprised if he’s scum and is playing this way on purpose.
Agree , it is like he is deliberately not playing whilst maintaining some participation , in the loosest use of the word participation.
Yay for cookies br
Bringing the goodies that was supposed to say. Fat fingers and an iphone to blame.
