J. Bravo, sir, earlier you posited that both Bufftabby and Lightfoot are on the same team. Now that we know Bufftabby was a wolf, and that Lightfoot can’t be mafia, and AND despite her half claim, do you still think she is a wolf?
I’m surprised Mafia didn’t go after the unconfirmed players and try to kill a wolf. Maybe they thought that the Town would lynch a wolf for them soon enough.
I suspect the wolves will go after mafia now that they have less players. Can’t win as scum unless you have more players than the other scum team.
I too am curious about the response.
I believe **Johnny Bravo ** is right.
This lynch was key for Town.
Barring a major screw-up, Town should now win this game. We have the numbers. If we were facing one Scum team of 5, then it would be dicey. But separate Scum teams are much less likely to win.
ToMorrow we will be down to fifteen players. Day 11 it will probably be at twelve players. For Mafia to win, at worst, we would have to go down to 6 players and not have killed any Mafia. For Wolves, we’d have to be down to 4 players and no more wolves dying. Neither scenario seems plausible. Without mod-kills of Town, we have the numbers. Town should win regardless of the claiming. Sorry Scum.
Raise you hand if, at the start of the game, you thought Town would have 8 mislynches at the end of Day 9, that Town would also lose several players to mod kill, and have our wizard commit suicide, AND lose all our investigators and doctors early but that we would still be positioned to win at the end of those 9 days. And the Patsy is still alive. This is a funny game.
Yeah, I’m still leaning that way. Remember that 'twas I who first accused bufftabby of being a wolf, and that accusation was the end of a road that started from me asking “what if Lightfoot is a wolf?”
The only thing that’s changed since then is her “half claim,” which is not actually a claim at all.
This is an excellent result.
Now, though, about those LUTHA kills, please, stop. Leave us alone. It’s in the name, ya know?
Lightfoot: I don’t think I ever understood why you thought I was specifically a wolf - particularly since half your reason in voting for me was because I was supposedly worried about being nightkilled (which would make me Mafia or, at least, not a wolf).
So can you please:
a) Explain why you thought I was a wolf when you posted this.
b) Whether you still believe I am a wolf.
c) If you don’t believe I’m a wolf, what do you think I am? And why?
Updating Nesta’s post.

I don’t know what I was thinking. I may have got the Day Kill/ Night Kill mixed up’
I may have been drinking as well. It is an error I made in logic either way.
I still think you re not Town.- You did help nail a wolf, so not a wolf I wager.
You stated many times that Town power roles should decide how to claim- while pushing for claims from Town specifically.
and again. my half claim is just as verifiable by counter claim ( or lack thereof) so I just don’t get why it is so important to you.
I think I have had one Mason see merit in my idea (I don’t think the other confirmed have voiced an opinion)
It is ‘convention’ ( you’ve used that word as well) to ‘trust’ the confirmed Masons- And give their opinions weight.
Your claim is not (yet) counterable. Until the final Patsy/ZI claims, you are still an unknown.
The advantage of just claiming “one of the outstanding roles” is that scum don’t know who is who. The disadvantage is that none of them are verifiable until all of them have claimed.
I think it’s a rather unlikely play for scum, so I think you are probably being truthful. But the other one needs to come forward.
I agree with you.
Aloha;
I am back from the desert and in lovely Riverside, CA with a very nice fire* going.
I am still want to know how **hawkeyeop **knew there were only two deacons. And why he thought that **Koldanar **revealed that. That was one of the reasons why I didn’t beleive Koldanar originally (although I think I forgot to mention it at the time in the rush of moving around) I played in a previous game where masons were given information about a hostile third party. Whats to stop our tricksy mods from turning that around and giving tidbits of information to scum about a non-hostile third party in this game.
*Rancho Jurupa Regional Park has a lovely campground. Also, while Death Valley is interesting I would not make it a must see National Park.
I will respectfully disagree. I don’t see why Scum would care which role is which. Why does “who is who” matter anymore? Who is there to roleblock? Anyone that matters is dead.
Town will win this game unless we give Scum a road map of whom to kill. We have the numbers. And while claiming the final power probably will not make a difference at this point, if Town were to have a series of mislynches it theoretically could.
I believe **Lightfoot **is telling the truth.
Think about it. Under no circumstances should Town mislynch a power role unless there is a counter claim. In the case of the Patsy counterclaim we might somehow guess wrong, but the Patsy could just kill the false claimer. In the case of a Zoning Inspector counterclaim, I’m betting we could figure it out. If not we’d have a certain kill the next Day.
Please spell out to me the benefit of the final power role player claiming except under pressure of mislynch. I’m not seeing it.
I think there is one wolf alive with a Day power. but, yeah
It would be helpful if the ‘other’ did claim ‘other’ mainly for the nay sayers-
but with confirmed Masons and a Town watcher that don’t have a problem with it. it seems moot.
Until the last one claims, we won’t know whether LightFoot is being truthful. It may be that she is lying, but both the Patsy and ZI are staying silent, each thinking that LightFoot is the other one. A claim will sort it out and put 2 players in the all-but-confirmed pool.
Note that the last claimant does not need to say which one they are - by claiming that they are either Patsy or ZI they have made both themselves and LightFoot counterable.
We are now down the the following unknowns:
Biotop
hawkeyeop
Johnny Bravo
LightFoot
Nanook of the North Shore
Plumpudding
Raventhief
Scathach
Texcat
Zeriel
Of those 10 people, 5 are scum. If the last town power role claims then we will be looking for 5 scum out of just 8 players.
In addition, the wolves need to kill mafia to give themselves some chance of winning. By narrowing the pool we make it easier for them to do so.
We can know Lightfoot is telling the truth if she simply claims her exact role. I already feel pretty good about her. But there is no advantage I can see to not fully claiming now. *Why would Scum care whether she is Patsy or ZI? *What possible Scum power is left to block?
I don’t think she should right this exact second. But certainly the second dawn breaks over the next shredded bloody carcas wolf target.
If LightFoot fully claims then she can go into the confirmed pool. If the last power role claims (partly or fully) then they can both go in.
I don’t see any real advantage to not fully claim. But it is LightFoot’s choice.
My preference would be for the last power role to claim (partly or fully). But that is just my preference. What they do is up to them.
This Night seems awfully quiet.
I’ll note that most of the activity at Night as come from confirmed town/cult members and the following:
Biotop
Johnny Bravo
LightFoot
Raventhief
I have a town lean on Biotop, Johnny Bravo, and LightFoot. I’m not too sure about Raventheif.
Does anyone else think that at this point in the game scum might be trying to avoid suspicion by not posting when it’s not too necessary. Especially at Night?
Suspicious non-posters include:
hawkeyeop
Nanook of the North Shore
Plumpudding
Scathach
Texcat
Zeriel
There are almost certainly scum in the low-posting pool. In fact, it may be mathematically certain. I haven’t looked that closely.
Here is some of the meat I really want to chew on toMorrow (not a wolf softclaim).
Johnny Bravo
Plumpudding
Raventhief
Nanook of the North Shore
[del]Bufftabby[/del]
These are the players who have claimed vanilla town so far. There are only three vanilla townies total, so one person in this list, at minimum, is scum of one flavor or the other. I know it’s not me, so that gives me a pretty small pool to look into.
I’ll be leaving my suspicion of Lightfoot to the side for the time being since most folks seem satisfied with her half-claim.
