I’m LUTHA.
[QUOTE=Mahaloth]
Welcome to the game; you are The High Priest of the Cult of Lutha
ALIGNMENT: Third Party (Non-Hostile)
YOU WIN along with all members of the Cult, living or dead, if any of the five Cultists of Lutha are alive when the game ends in any other way.
BACKGROUND:
Some people venerate wealth or power, or chase sirens of fame or possessions. Not you. You care nothing for the bloodlust of the Werewolves, or the base greed and pinstripes of the Mafia, or even for the pleasant camaraderie of the Town. You are the Cult of Lutha, and your numbers are legion. Actually, your numbers are five. You don’t know one another’s names or faces, but so long as even one of you remains alive, the principles of Lutha will triumph in the end.
(Postscript: “Lutha” stands for “Leave Us the Hell Alone.” You are no threat to any side. Good luck convincing them of this).
POWERS:
On any given Day, you may choose to cancel all secondary lynches; the order to do this must be submitted during the previous Night. Your power affects only extra lynches earned by extra Town deaths during the Night; you cannot cancel or affect the primary lynch in any way.

Oh, one more thing. You also have a switch. It’s labeled “Bloodhound Switch”. Each Night, it begins in the “on” position and you may flip it to “off” or leave it alone. There is another switch like this out there, by the way.

I believe Koldanar is LUTHA. I’m always a little paranoid, and I understand why sinjin might be suspicious of Koldanar, but I don’t agree. Although his power is worded differently, and his claim was drawn out, I just don’t see scum claiming the way he did. He was the first to mention GLaDOS once Cookies was outed, and only seemed to be claiming LUTHA as a secondary concern. He clearly meant to claim LUTHA, but if it was a false claim I would expect scum to make the claim the centerpiece of the post, not bury it in a discussion of having the SK switch. Koldanar’s initial claim post for anyone who wants to review it.
That being said, if there are other LUTHA who haven’t claimed, I encourage them to do so. If there’s a false claim in our midst it’s best to figure it out now.
Those who don’t trust the cult probably won’t believe me, but I’ve been trying to play on the side of town the whole game. From Day 1 I figured that it was easier to win with town than somehow work to help scum win. I dislike playing scum because I find the sleuthing aspects of the game the most enjoyable. I admit I wasn’t thrilled to end up third party this game.
My actions are easy to explain. Every Night I’ve submitted them as:
Do not affect the secondary lynches.
Turn the Bloodhound Switch off.
I saw the additional lynches as a very pro-town option. Town often gets it wrong, but also often has scum as second choice. I was a little tempted to change my mind when Chrys and Sach were looking like possible second lynches, but logic was seeming to prevail that LUTHA wasn’t a threat, so I stuck to my original plan to hope any additional lynches would net scum. The sooner we offed all the scum, the sooner we would win.
I debated whether or not to reveal I have the Bloodhound Switch. It puts a target on my back since the Bloodhound is still alive. I finally decided to just get the full disclosure out of the way. I hope both mafia and wolves won’t kill me because there are better targets (hopefully each other). Wolves might kill me to free up the Bloodhound, but I think the Bloodhound is pretty useless at this point. The only unclaimed town roll with an action left is Zoning Inspector, and there’s a good chance that will be claimed by the end of the Day. Mafia might kill me if they have the other switch, so that they can control it, but that’s a bit of a waste just to protect the Enforcer from being tracked. I’m guessing the Mook has already used their one time power.
I hope it’s obvious that I turned off the Bloodhound Switch every Night to hopefully keep them from being able to preform their action. Later in the game I wondered if maybe it would have been better to let wolves maybe use the bloodhound to find mafia, but overall I still feel that depriving scum of any more information is pro-town. I thought about flipping a coin the first few Nights, but decided random wasn’t much better than just off. After a number of players had died I figured the best game theory was that there was a chance the other switch holder was dead, so there was a higher chance that off would really be off.
I believe town can pull this off, and I hope at least one LUTHA is still alive at the end to share the win.
