Mafia Reunion: Day Eight

why say you that?

there is that but if not disputed then semi confirmed, yes/maybe?

only an instant answer would confirm knowledge ( maybe - since they could have researched it prior)

[

I will reveal when I choose to reveal. It might be after Dusk, or after Dawn the next Day.

I can’t think of any circumstance that would make it advantageous to Town reveal who I am Watching before Dusk, if only because the choice is not final until Dusk - I could PM the Mods at any time up to 7:59pm Sunday evening with a change of orders. So what’s the point?

This also means that I don’t telegraph my actions so people can avoid me.

I’ll think about withholding info on who was Watched if there is no result.

This has been the practice most of the time. Day 7 is the only report I have waited until after the start of the next Day.

I had a big post about who or why or where or what the scum teams would be doing regarding MHaye, but I think he has a good handle on it. Not telling us anything unless he gets a result is a good idea. He can keep his own council - it’s worked very, very well for us so far.

Meanwhile:

unvote Khameleon
vote Koldanar

I’m not going anywhere before EoD and I feel like this is a fine place to hang my vote for now.

I will point out, and y’all may consider this niggling, that he admitted to editing his role PM. Yes, he says it was only to strengthen his claim, but he didn’t say so until people started commenting on how it looked weird.

Before EoD, I’m going to go and look back at the lurkers from the last few days. I was kind of hoping that there would be more of a housecleaning based on yesterDay’s post counts, but I guess that’s not going to happen.

I will also remind both Koldanar and Hawkeyeop that they’ve said I need to be scrutinized. Koldanar says he’s been getting scummy vibes from me all game. Hawkeyeop says that high volume posters need to be looked at more closely. I’m waiting for both of those analyses.

Does anyone have a vote count?

Still really busy and completely drained to boot. I have an exhibition opening on Sunday and things to get ready. I’ve been trying to skim along, but I have to admit my head is in a completely different place right now. I hope I can get a little time to get suspicious of someone and place a vote.

I contributed to some of this as well, so I’ll jump in here -

I was feeling suspicious of you, based partly on the high-volume/not killed factor, and that I perceived that you had led the train on multiple town mis-lynches. I alluded to this back on D6 (post 195), meaning to look into it further.

So, after reviewing the evidence, I think I was off-base. I mainly got that impression from Day 6, where you led the charge against Inner Stickler. But, after review, that was really the only time that happened.

You moved your vote late on D4, to ensure the double-lynch and catch Boozahol, which means if nothing else you’re not a wolf.

D3 was the largely meta-based vote against Idle, and on D5, you stayed out of the Prof P lynch. So, really no townie bussing to be found, other than D6 - which mainly stemmed from his vote on you. So, fairly understandable.

Now, it could be said that your gameplay would be ideal for the Godfather, hiding in plain sight and investigation-proof… But, I don’t have any evidence of that.

I’m curious to see the reaction to the khameleon claim, and feel the need to review Hawkeye and Koldanar some more. Hawkeye has been getting low-level suspicion all game, so maybe there’s something to be found there.

Oh, I probably have one somewhere.

I’ll put an official one up in a little bit.

Well, barring a counterclaim, the only correct reaction to that claim is to believe it. Mason is just about the worst possible fake claim for scum to make, since it’s incredibly easy to counter claim and doesn’t really come with any upside that things like Detective fake claims can. We’re also at the point of the game where there’s no real upside to real Masons, if we assume the claim to be fake, need worry about not counter claiming.

Vote Lakai

You haven’t really contributed anything since you returned, and your vote Today was awful in a way I can’t just ignore. The original vote was based on bad reasoning, but I can sort of squint and see why Khameleon did it. But you have no such excuse for just piggy backing onto a bad vote. It feels like lazy scum just hopping onto what appears to be a convenient spot.

I kind of want to look at all the lurkers, but I guess I’m just sort of hoping they get modkilled? I see no way whatsoever for town to win if we have to lynch lurkers at this point. I can’t even be confident that there are Masons watching the thread close enough to respond/not respond to Khameleon’s claim! It’s frustrating.

So anyway, I decided to look back on Lakai since there’s at least been some volume of posts lately. I went back to Day 5 for no reason other than that I didn’t want to go back any further.

Summary: Lakai has, as Nanook pointed out, contributed very little in the last few days. There are several questions and a fair number of fluff posts.

However, I should point out to Nanook that it was Lakai who originally voted him and Khameleon who did the egregious “me too” vote.

Unlike Nanook, I don’t think squinting does much to justify the vote. It was a pretty rough case.

Bah, that’s what I get for posting while doing audit work. The vote was still awful, no matter who made it originally.

Well, to clarify - I edited my switch pm, to highlight THE CULT in it. That is all.

No, I mentioned that as a possible explanation for the kill, I voted TexCat a couple of Days ago for her interactions with known wolves jsgoddess and Bill, and her vote on Colby knowing his meta.

Fair enough, I remain suspicious though.

Both sound entertaining.

So the no votes were due to real life.

Lakai voted first, Khameleon pigged backed it:

Sure, but you’re voting Lakai for piggy backing or the crappy vote?

So you say, but fool me once…

I’m voting Lakai for not lurking in plain sight, combined with a crappy vote that seems to be an attempt to use factually incorrect or impossible logic to justify not having to do actual work. The fact that I brainfarted the order doesn’t change that, especially given that the other person involved claimed Mason.

Yikes I suck. I still haven’t counted votes. Sorry guys. It’s gonna be a couple more hours. Sorry.

Not lurking? What? No idea how that not got in there. Strike it, then reread!

Ok, after a long nap, I guess I’ll have to

Unvote Khameleon

Well I made a mistake. I wasn’t trying to trick anyone.

Apologies for my lack of activity lately. My head hasn’t been in the game and I’m really struggling to find someone to vote for. YesterDay I ended up placing a hasty one-off vote. I’ll try to do better toDay.

Yeah with 20+ players left, I understand that there’s a good few days to go. But we seem to be inching closer to the point where with LUTHA and mason claims we can eliminate the scum pool for hiding in. I don’t see any point in hiding information now.

**Day 8 Vote Count

Koldanar(2) - Scathach(13), johnnybravo(103)

Zeriel(1) - Biotop(49),

Texcat(1) - guiri(67),

Lakai(1) - Nanook(107),

I didn’t say to Hide information. non information will help Scum though.
“No one visited X” gives us no info and Scum a place to play unwatched next cycle.

( because odds are the watching will not be on the same person in the next cycle- understand?)
