Oh, and as for which one he shows up as, don’t forget the werewolves are technically mafia too. Just a different family. So it’s hard to say which family they think Clemenza might be working for.
The reason I ask is, the investigative Journalist has to explicitly state whether they are investigating a Mafioso or a Wolf. The Homicide Detective and the Seer will get some kind of guilty result, I guess (only based off color) Mafioso. Maybe the result is based of Day and Night power, but then what’s the point of naming the Patsy Clemenza?
Anyway, the Investigative Journalist has to state what alignment he/she investigates, but will receive a “no” either way. There’s clearly a way of clearing the Patsy with the Investigative Journalist, I’m just not quite sure how yet. If I’m correct about the color, there’s some room for Wolf shenanigans I think. Maybe a double investigation is the way to be sure about the result, either by just the Investigative Journalist, or by the Investigative Journalist in tandem with one of the other investigative roles.
Maybe I’m running head first into a rabbit hole, me too…
My bold. So the Investigative Journalist either receives something other than yes or no if hitting town, or, more likely (?) they just get a no, no matter what alignment they chose for the Patsy investogation. I think this answeres my questions.
Ah, then I misunderstood. I thought it was a blanket “Scum” answer, but it sounds as if more is said.
From the description of investigative Journalist:
Sorry, didn’t add this…
So, this is an “I don’t like the way you’re playing, so I’m voting you in hopes that it will influence you to play in a more pro-Town manner” vote, as opposed to a “I think you’re Scum” vote?
Or are you saying that the former implies the latter?
Okay, you caught me napping. Normally I would be spending Day 1 with Fluff because I am not an aggressive player, and there is rarely any kind of case that can be built. This game doesn’t really have room for much Fluff IMHO, so I’m reading and looking, but there doesn’t be much to comment on. Colby’s slip? Possible, but not anywhere near certain. My M.O. has been to joke through the first part of D1, and focus on Lynch the Lurker at the end of D1 (which would be, say, Friday or Saturday this time 'round) and see if a case can be made there.
Full disclosure, we haven’t decided yet. Could go either way.
Actually I think less. Only “yes” or “no”. The Patsy is possible to confirm via investigative results, either two by the Investigative Journalist, or one by Homicide Detective or Seer, then a confirm by the Investigative Journalist. I think.
I remember the last time you said you were going to not post as much…you were scum. Fuzzystinkeye on you.

Full disclosure, we haven’t decided yet. Could go either way.
Haha, okay. Enough about the fucking Patsy, plum!

If I’m not mistaken (and I’m pretty sure I’m not), it goes like this, with regards to the Patsy:
The Seer and the Homicide Detective simply say “I want to investigate Plumpudding”. They get back a result of “Scum (Wolf or Mafia)” if they investigate the Patsy.
The Investigative Journalist would say either “Is Plumpudding a Wolf?” or “Is Plumpudding Mafia?”…and would get a “no” in either case. So two Journalist investigations (one for the Wolf check and one for the Mafia check) could definitively clear the Pasty…not that it’s likely to be worth the effort…
NETA: Actually, two Journalist investigations would not definitively clear the Patsy; they would only show that he is not Scum. A Third Party would also show as “not Wolf” and “not Mafia”.
Yeah, also not sure if it’s worth confirming the Patsy. Lots of actions allocated for only one player: IJ + IJ + HD or S. Well, now we know.

yeah, also not sure if it’s worth confirming the patsy. Lots of actions allocated for only one player: Ij + ij + hd or s. Well, now we know.
And, as we all know…
R + L = J

That wasn’t really directed at you as any kind of evidence. It’s merely an example of a non-defense defense. I know your playstyle by reputation (and that reputation may overstate it based on this game so far), but for somebody who’s never heard stories of Meeko, you’d be an easy and earnest D1 vote unless people came in to say they’ve played with you and your quirks are not scum tells. (I should have stuck with the Bob framing to keep it clearer but I thought a fairly well known example might help.)

Thanks?
Not to jinx myself, or whatever, but I think I can take this as a compliment. FWIW I kinda like my play so far. Perhaps these restraints securing me to the pan handle are working.

I ask others: How many hours per day do/will you spend on this Game? For me, I may spend an average 2+ hours per calendar day and it isn’t nearly enough! (Part of my problem may be slow thinking, poor note-taking and work habits). I can afford the time because I’m retired, but many of you have jobs — How can you keep up?..
Well since you asked, my job allows me many boring hours in front of the computer doing nothing but surfing the net. So I’m essentially able to play a major fraction of 8hrs a day while at work. And I don’t have much of a social life that prevents me from playing on my phone. So essentially, the only times I’m NOT able to play are when I’m asleep or driving. There are exceptions from time to time, of course.
