When you made this post, had you seen the other votes on Colby?
Hey all, I am dead now in my other game. I’ve seen some comments about Septimus here and there and his maybe playing like this as town. My own memory/experience has him playing in one game with me where he was likewise crazy scummy from day one; when we lynched him on day 2 or 3 guess what, he was scum. So there’s that.
I’m still not sold on Colby. I don’t believe the slip was actually a slip, having read it again just now. His lack of participation overall is not a good look, but I’m not getting the same vibe from what he has posted as I got when I correctly read him scum last game on Giraffe.
ToeJam is still scummy as heck to me, but we’ll see what further posts reveal.
I will probably post a lot as I catch up properly; I apologize in advance for the spam.
This is my biggest issue with day one votes as well. Right now there are a handful of prolific posters and a whole bunch of people that have posted little. Admittedly, I’m one of the players that hasn’t posted much. I’m just not seeing much to post about now. This early in the game, I’m completely blind. It won’t be until we’ve got voting records and lynch results that we can start figuring out motivations.
I do need to get a vote in day one. I think it’s important for everyone to vote and be accountable.
Vote Colby11
It wasn’t just the three words - but the three words, the content around those three words, and his reaction to the suspicion - he called it BS, and the fact that he’s been quiet quite since the incident.
I’ve seen a ton of games where if people are quiet for long enough, something else comes up and the players move on. It’s looking like that’s his strategy.
I care because I am trying to lure out information.
You might see it as fishing. I disagree.
IMO anything posted in the game is up for discussion.
I didn’t ask for more information about power/no-power.
I simply asked if I was correct in reading it as a soft claim.

I am apparently ignorant of the difference. I thought the point was ambiguity.
Can you please explain?
I very much dislike you using the word “force” in your first sentence. Very much.
As for the rest - I think you should fact check a bit better in your next post.
Where did I ask for something more concrete? Please quote me on that.

By asking him to confirm a soft-claim, you are asking him to confirm a claim. As of yet, it’s still not a claim.
See, you’re doing it again, though, sort of subtly twisting the accusation against you to your advantage. It’s not defensiveness that’s the issue, it’s the attack on your accusers’ credibility that is.

I like this post.
I know, Pleo’s thing is ludicrous. It may just be Pleo being Pleo.
Yeah. Only the difference is I didn’t ask him to confirm. I asked him if he meant for us to read the post as a soft claim.
He could have answered with a no.

Better leave that up to imagination?
That’s why you were accused of fishing for information, by trying to get information out of him, making him come out and give you a concrete answer on it being a claim or not.
ignoring septimus for the moment:smack:
This post is so incredibly towny to me.
This game really changed while I was away

You’ve never heard of fishing, in relation to claims?
You seemed to be trying to cement a claim, Day 1, possibly drawing a kill of a power role, when it was not clear at all if it was a claim or not, and probably best left at that. Or am I mistaken?
- best left at that for now.
So you are sure it was a claim?
Why is that?

Do you not see " yes that was meant as a soft claim" or no it wasn’t is " more concrete" than a soft claim itself?
