I think a Serial Killer bomb is very unlikely. Her willingness to be lynched looks more like resignation, “I’m caught, dammit”.

I’m have no problems being on her lynch wagon. But there is nothing to lose by excusing MHaye, just in case…

Second off, I’m getting less comfortable with LUTHA by the minute. The revelation that many of them have powers, and perhaps Cookies was hunting them, makes me believe that we don’t know enough to credit who’s on what side in the final analysis.

Third off, vote analysis has been making me crazy–it’s just too easy for scum to hide in the grind of hunting their opposing numbers. As a result I feel completely useless at sniffing out bad behavior.

And I think that there is a reason that Cookies is being so uncooperative. There must be some thing we are missing- whether damage related or win con related. Or she is obstinate. I can’t rule that out completely.

I don’t get this reasoning. If you are a PFK and are outed why would you help town who is going to lynch you anyway? Why would you help scum, who are surely voting you off the iceberg too. Cookies is doing what I would expect, going down with snark and dignity.

We only have one claimed Town power role I would like to see what their thoughts are on the matter

I am concerned that she’s going out without a fight. She could have claimed non-exclusive wincon and offered to work with Town, but instead she raised her middle finger and didn’t volunteer any information we could use. She could be a bomb, but I doubt it. Occam’s razor is that she hasn’t been participating much, so isn’t very invested, so now that she’s caught she might as well fuck with everyone, get lynched, and then she doesn’t have to worry about this game anymore.

My paranoid side says that she might have a wincon that is advanced if she’s lynched, or she thinks that one more kill before lynch can achieve her wincon. But I’ve learned not to trust my paranoid side.

It worries me that exclusive third party win conditions are mentioned. The cult claims non-exclusive, but maybe Cookies is exclusive. If so, a traditional SK role doesn’t seem to fit this setup, and would be almost impossible to pull off. I think her wincon isn’t to just survive and then be an exclusive winner. If she’s exclusive I think her wincon probably has an easier objective. The theories that she has a list of roles she needs to kill, or eliminating the cult, are worth considering.

That said, I think she was caught out before she had a chance to fulfill her wincon, and if she’s a Jester of some sort that’s a bastard mod game that I don’t mind losing.

I do note your heroic act of hiding in the bunker while the rest of us poke the bomb with sticks. I understand your concern that Cookies is a bomb, but your unvote was premature. We have days yet to figure this out, and you could have pushed the discussion of the possibility without the unvote. You seem afraid. Your self-sacrifice to expand the pool of unvotes comes off as false. Are you a town power-role [rhetorical]? If so, why draw attention to yourself? Or are you cult looking to just survive? Or scum looking for an easy excuse to back away from a perceived threat?

I’m guessing this will be a relatively calm day after that Dawn, so it’s time to broach the topic:

Is it time for some or all power roles to claim?

There are three Masons and a Patsy who make an obvious pool for a limited claim. Obviously, everybody would be involved in a mass claim, which is a little like herding cats. There’s also LUTHA, representing a claimed pool of four, who have been the topic of debate since Day 3.

I lean toward the limited (Patsy, Masons, LUTHA) claim.

If my above list is correct we have 25 players left, 7 confirmable town roles, 6 vanilla, 4 cult, 1 SK, 4 mafia, and 3 wolves.

If only non-power town roles claim it’s 3 Masons and the Patsy, plus MHaye. I don’t think that’s enough right now to make a difference. Even if we take the two claimed cultists and SK into account that only takes the player pool from 25 to 17.

If we go for a mass claim, though, that gets us to 12, with 7 scum hiding in a pool of 13 vanillas (unless they claim confirmable roles, which is hopefully an easy thing to sort out). Cult could refuse to cooperate, but that just adds them to the likely lynch pool, so I hope they would come clean. Those odds are starting to feel compelling. Not Today, but in the next few Days I think this game starts to get much more solvable.

Well, dammit, I’ve been drinking bourbon and playing god damn portal for the last 3 or 4 hrs. Dammit. I mean, I’m only like an hour or so late in going to bed, but still. I hope all you jerks are happy to have given me yet another shitty excuse to not do chores and make the wifey hate me…cause I’m pretty sure I’ll be playing that damn game the entire 48 hrs of my weekend. …dammit.
