I think this game has become overwhelming for some of the players. Maybe there is a reason games really get that large.

But we’re down to just twenty-something now. It’s getting easier, isn’t it?
Care to address Scathach’s questions about why you haven’t been actively trying to investigate and find your fellow cult members?
and you still have not told us where you sent your redirections and why–
Or like ** crys** touted the ’ want to be pro Town’ card
too much sleuth juice trying ti stop typing
Koldanar, who were the redirects to, and (am I missing this somewhere?) why did you not redirect anyone on Day/Night 5, when your power was restored?
His claimed role allows him to redirect a player’s actions to another player, so any action Chronos performed would have been redirected to his second target, who he hasn’t shared yet. It poses a question about N3, why not choose ToeJam to self-protect?
You aren’t reading too much into it. Many of the LUTHA’s actions have been sketchy, except for perhaps sach. I’m leaning towards overwhelmed I think? But nefarious reasoning could also be a part of it. Cookies might be able to give us information with her death.
I’m starting to think he is purposely avoiding the question because hus answers will be less than pro-town.
I feel the same and am going to bed now= best idea
Sorry! (Not really). Glad you’re enjoying it - just so you know, Portal 2 is even better!
I also think it’s strange he didn’t give all the info.
As soon as I’m done inhaling fried rice, imma grab a beer and a bourbon and settle in for another 40 hrs…
For the record I wanted to say the only reason I have not voted for Cookies yet is because I was hoping we might hear more from her toDay. I have no problem with lynching her and will vote for her unless something crazy comes up.
As for being a bomb - I agree it’s not that likely. But I don’t have a problem with anyone removing their vote just in case (so long as she’s still the lynch leader). I do however suspect that something is up. For example, what if she’s like the Godfather or Alpha Wolf and doesn’t die on the first attempt? Rethinking that, why would she have confessed if that were the case? Ok, so that’s kind of unlikely too. I just think that there’s no way she has to kill everyone - that would be way too difficult in a game this size. But if her wincon is exclusive then how can she win if anyone else is alive (in which case she would have to win with someone and the condition isn’t exclusive)? What if she is a bomb that kills everyone who votes for her and in a last ditch effort she’s trying to go out with a huge bang hoping that all votes are on her, leaving her dead, but the victor?
Or perhaps Occam’s Razor is the most relevant theory after all.
I’m assuming it’s a Scum power still in play then (not asking you to answer that).
I also have a Scum power switch (which may or may not still be in play) - it would be pretty funny if we have the same one and keep cancelling each other out. I’ve been using it randomly though to maintain the WIFOM aspect of it.
Beware the Cookies Bomb
I’ve been thinking a little bit about the way cultists have revealed this game.
Crys’s revealed in Day Two was 100% unforced, ostensibly to save brewha.
Sachertorte claimed later in the day, ostensibly to confirm Crys and also for the purpose of gaining town’s trust. But Crys wasn’t in danger at the time. She was a far second-place in the vote tally and was not in danger of even being a second lynch. This claim was unforced.
Koldanar’s claim today is also unforced. There’s no way in hell that cookies doesn’t get the lynch today. The stuff about the GLaDOS switch isn’t nearly enough to derail that.
So do the cultists have a condition of some kind that requires them to come out into the open? Like I said about cookies, it’s impossible to really speculate on wincons when there are a million not-unlikely possibilities. But something feels weird.*
I also feel oddly about the (Non-hostile) tag on their alignment. It feels a little, I dunno, on the nose? I think this has been brought up already.
On Koldanar specifically:
The Day 4 breadcrumbing is weird. That’s really late to leave that sort of trail and I’m not sure what to make of it. The pace at which he’s given us information also feels weird. The initial claim-that-kind-of-wasn’t, the bits and pieces of copy/pasting to reveal his role, only telling us who he redirected but not where, etc.
I do think Koldanar is cult, but the more we learn about them, the more I think their win condition has to be more than “have at least one survivor at the end of the game.”
Five cultists, all (or at least most) of whom are power roles? The scum teams only started with seven each and they have to earn an exclusive win! No, there’s something else up with these guys.
I could accept Crys’s initial claim as a poor choice, but not sachertorte coming into the open shortly thereafter. For a group of survivors, it would have made more sense to let her live or die on her own case.
This was on Day 2. We’d just lost a couple of power roles. If I was a cultist I would have been thinking that town was looking like the slower horse right out the gate.
None of this quite adds up. It’s like a jigsaw puzzle where a bunch of the pieces have been cut imperfectly.
*If you put a “speculate or die” gun to my head, I would say that cultists either must reveal, must be lynched, or some combination of both.
Oh Geez, it’s a PITA to go through stuff on my phone - On a pc now so I can review.
Chronos -> Cookies (No result, of course)
Enderw24 -> snfaulker (no result, again)
TexCat -> Johnny B.
I don’t find the timing of the cultist claims to be weird. There is a lot else that doesn’t quite add up, but I can buy the timing.
Crys revealed to test the water though I acknowledge the Brewha exchange was odd.
Sach revealed to protect Crys. Crys wasn’t in imminent danger, but votes can change quickly, such as the Booz voter late on. There are also more ways to die then by lynch, so without Sach’s claim one could easily see Crys taken out by a vig shortly thereafter.
Koldanar thought Cookies was the danger, so felt free to claim after Cookies was dealt with.
I’d rather win without Lutha, because there is a legitimate chance they are lying about their win condition. However, given the numbers, we might not end up having a choice. We may need to align with them to defeat the scum and hope they don’t steal our win.
sorry if all of this has been said before but…
It may make perfect sense for a sk to be all “Ha ha screw you” when caught dead to rights. Im not sure, I have never played with a SK in the game before (I don’t think - if I did I probably died too early to even make note of it) But this to me implies that – assuming that LUTHA have been honest, which is a big if-- that the SK isn’t affiliated with them. Because a LUTHA affiliated SK might want to help Town at least a little, in order to generate goodwill so we don’t turn our nooses on them next. I mean, if Cookies turns up LUTHA after all of this, then we can’t trust LUTHA to want to win with Town.
A SK who has to take out all 54 other players is unreasonable. So the list Cookies mentioned is possibly a list of targets (3 Town, 1 scum each, 2 LUTHA, whatever. < numbers obviously pulled out of nowhere). It could be a list of player names, which seems too easy, frankly. It could be an internal list of “players she intended to kill.”
Or she could be screwing with us, which is pretty likely at this point.
The GLaDOS thing may be color to give the death scenes more color, and Cookies may be GLaDOS - but might not be. Once cookies flips, we should know if that is her role name. If it’s not…well, I guess we will cross that bridge a little later then.
I am ready for the reveal, myself. I think the bomb thing is unlikely, but possible, as are all of the other things mentioned previously (Jester, bomb, scotsman type, ability to pass the killing power) - probably not going to happen. But I guess we find out on Sunday.
