I think your role reveals more than you want to reveal, so you moved things around to create a bowdlerized claim. It would explain why your claim process was so dragged out.

You’ve had “scummy vibes” from me all game? Could you be more concrete? I’m one of the most prolific posters still alive, so maybe you could go ahead and quantify what’s scummy about me other than the fact that I’m’a callin’ you out.

You absolutely have to use meta data to examine role claims. Role claims mean nothing without context. That said, this a game run by three separate people, so I wouldn’t be surprised with inconsistent role pms. Particularly with something like 3rd party roles that could easily be done by a different person than the main roles.

There are quite a lot of role PMs in the public sheet and they’re all very consistent with one another. I think Occam’s razor would tell us that the very few 3rd-party roles would also be consistent - not the other way around.

Besides, the actual content of the role doesn’t feel at all out of place. The problem is the layout. It’s all wrong. It feels stitched together.

Okay, I had this whole thing typed up about LUTHA claims and so on, and that meandered me to look at Koldanar’s claim again.

Guys, please pay attention and comment.

Here is Koldanar’s role claim:

I started thinking that it was odd how Koldanar’s BACKGROUND was precisely the same as Crys and Sachertorte even though his role is different. This doesn’t jive for a game with so much detail put into every single role.

Then I looked at his POWERS section.

It does not match the other roles in the public document.

Go look. There is very little fluff for the other powers. For the most part, they get right to the mechanics. If there is fluff, it’s minor. If there’s fluff at the beginning of a power description, it’s extremely minor so as to not get in the way of the actual power. There is no role in the entire document that has as much silliness as Koldanar’s in the POWERS section.

Chunks of Koldanar’s POWERS section look, 100%, would belong in the BACKGROUND section of any other role.

Summary:

• Koldanar’s BACKGROUND section matches the Deacons exactly even though he is a different role altogether.
• Koldanar’s POWERS section has too much fluff in it as compared to the other POWERS sections in the public role list.

Conclusion: Koldanar’s claim is fake.

I don’t have any problem with this kind of meta analysis, but I don’t really buy your theory. There’s plenty of fluff in the Basement/consiglierie/omega POWER sections. Maybe not quite as much as what K is caliming in his POWER section, but enough to make me think this is a non-issue.
