Mafia Reunion - Day Three

Aw, don’t you want to hear his leans on other dead town players?

Yeah, but I changed my mind before action was taken…which I think should be left up to being my decision.

Secondly, I wasn’t eligible for the mod kill list. I’ve posted in every Day thread so far, so…sorry to burst your bubble.

OR…you could just…NOT lynch me if you really think I’m town.

And I’ve already said, twice now, that the “pissing off” thing was a poor choice thing to say.

Yeah, I was wrong about you, For a moment there, I thought you were actually one of the more rational people in this game, in this Day. But nothing says unreasonable more like “Nope, my mind is closed off, even though I’m wrong about this thing”.

Well, it’s okay, you’ll see you’re wrong, yet again, in due time.

I don’t like the case against either Idle Thoughts or Prof. Pepperwinkle. Everyone seems to be voting for Idle because he’s been lurking and because he’s being defensive about it. That’s actually the same reason Lakai V.1.0 was lynched on Day One. I didn’t like that case then and I don’t like it now. Lurking isn’t helpful for the town, but it doesn’t mean someone is scum.

The case against Prof. Pepperwinkle seems to rest on him advocating for a bad strategy. You can argue that this strategy favors scum and therefore he’s also scum, but I don’t want to jump to that conclusion at the moment. It’s just as likely that he’s town who thought of a bad play.

I also do not like how quickly a bandwagon formed around these two players with almost very little in way of the evidence against them.

Instead of voting for these two, I’m voting for Hockey Monkey because I don’t like her bandwagon voting for the last three days:

She voted for all these players after a few other players voted for them and they are all votes agreeing with the existing case against these people.

In this game with two scum teams, I think it’s easy for the town to get lead astray by bandwagon voting. One or two players from one scum team can build a case against someone for a suspicious post, and then the second scum team, seeing a case being built against a town person and not one of their team, will jump in on the lynch. Like two small waives building into a tidal wave against a town person.

That’s my working theory. And Hockey Monkey has too many bandwagon votes so that’s why I will vote Hockey Monkey.

Hoo boy, what happened while I was asleep? A bunch of bullshittery, evidently. It’s all been hashed and rehashed to death already. So I’ll keep it brief.

Idle thoughts didn’t read the goddammit rules of his own game then got all upset over all this talk of mod killings that he’s been forced to play out of spite, it seems.

I know I said I’d vote for him if he came back, based on others’ meta of him. And his obnoxious fits seemed to warrent votes as well. However, a few times in between his abrasive-not-abrasive jabberings, he did give some leans. Is his obnoxious style meant to get rises out of ppl just so he can judge their scumnitude? I think maybe so.

I’m gonna hold off voting him for now.

I have to go husbanding for a spell now, but I’ll return later tonight.

Idle is doing idle and not ruining the game. Non participation is having a huge effect on this game.

That would be news to me

Quick thoughts from my phone. Why does shit go down when I’m on my phone?

I feel like this is Townie Prof P. with bad ideas. It won’t be the first time. (Said by somebody who has bad townie ideas, so no offense intended.)

Idle, get your head in the game and find some scum. Your arguments aren’t going to convince those who have made up their mind, but leaning town on brewha doesn’t help you case with me.

**unvote all **

Toejam’s claim stinks like toe jam. He’s still very much on my radar, but there’s enough doubt to reevaluate.

Can somebody do me a favor and recap the Thingfish/Pleonast feud? I may be able to do it tomorrow, but I can’t guarantee the time is there.

One of his “leans” is that Brewha is town. Are you actually reading the thread?

Damnit.

Sigh… @Idle, is this what you are doing? Because if this is the start of you actually playing and we can expect the current level of attention you are paying to the game, then I’m willing to hold off on your Lynch.

As directly as possible please address the following issues:

  1. Toejam’s claim

  2. LUTHA

  3. People voting for claimed 3rd parties

  4. Professor P

  5. Anyone you think I should looking at and why.
    ** Unvote Idle Thoughts **

You could have made this a lot easier on everyone, but if what SNF says above is the truth, then you are playing… just not in a way that I like or respect. From my perspective all you did was pissed off a bunch of town. But now I am seeing that was the point.

on D2? ballsy since they had lost 0 none players?

Scum are certainly having fun.

But so am I. And hey, Town isn’t doing as horribly bad as we did in Super Smash Brothers we’re we lost the game and only mislynched twice. (Technically we lost on the third mislynch, but due to a mandatory Borda vote, scum basically controlled the lynch on that one.)

 See. That shit was funny!

Yeah, that’s the second time you’ve done that this game. (At least, I think it was you. I can’t be arsed to go check for certain.)

It is obvious he isnt caught up. He never read the part about mod kills. I imagine that he’s doing a super skim job. Of course he could have just spewed bullshit to sound like he is trying. I still very well might vote for him. But we have many hours left and I’m about to get yelled at for not husbanding.

I just want to go on record as saying I have strong town leanings on Normal Phase and Chronos:cool:

I said that if** Idle ** came back I would switch my vote, Not sure what the vote count is but at this point I don’t care.
I am not going to make myself a liar

** Unvote Prof**,
Vote Idle

he bought and paid for a lynch

You guys sound like a couple of nut jobs to me. This whole LUTHA are wolves thing doesn’t make sense. Here is why.

  1. Wolves wouldn’t want to pose as 3P it puts them under the spotlight.

2.3P count toward the scum win condition so the mafia have three reasons to kill them. First because they are one less person between them and victory. Second because they are not likely to be under protection. And third because they could have an exclusive wincon.

It would put them at risk from both sides. Town and mafia would both want their reveal. IIRC the day kill on D2 was a Mason right? So maybe the mafia found a breadcrumb and figured they had bigger fish to fry than a 3P. Besides, wolves as LUTHA would be an incredibly dangerous gambit for someone who’s wincon depends on them staying ahead of the mafia in population. It basically says “Hey mafia, I could be a hostile 3P, a wolf, or an honest nonhostile 3P, either way you benefit from killing me, I’m not likely to be protected, come get me.”

, I asked Idle a viable question in the post where all he responded to was my use of the word hostile- He had the chance then to respond.
I am not willing to continue trying to be reasonable with the player.

See… and this doesn’t make sense to me either… who is this wolf trying to get protection from?

And yet you gave a buy because he posted a couple of leans one of which was totally irrelevant. You know who don’t care which townie/3P dies (except for SKs)? Scum don’t care. They especially don’t care about VT.

But…but…what about DanteG and Sario?
