Yep, and what happened in that game? Well, I’ll tell you…because it happens in most ALL GAMES that I play in: People get annoyed and/or irritated with me, they start voting for me being SO SURE I must be scum, because they say I play so “anti-town”…and then…OOPS…I turn out to be Town.
That’s what happened in your only other game played with me. And that’s gonna happen in THIS game as well. So that will be TWO FOR TWO that that has happened in.

There is a lot in that post, Idle. I quoted this bit to address it directly, then I’ll give my position on your lynch.

The quoted portion above is directed at Raventhief… if you guys only have one other game together, that must be the last game to take place on GB. If so, you were modkilled, not lynched. It seems that in addition to being mislynched, you are starting to have a problem with getting modkilled.

Your lynch… I think we will gain little from the vote record of your Lynch. I think there is a lot of town voting you at this point, and if not for SNF pointing out what you were doing, I’d be there too. I think you are town. I also think that when you play this way it gets you lynched, which is bad for town. Therefore it is anti-town for you to play this way… you know where it is gonna end before you start, and yet you do it anyway. That being said, it’s also anti-town to vote for you just because you piss me off and make a lot of noise. I won’t contribute to your Lynch, but you brought it on yourself and I think those voting for you have enough reason to think you are likely scum.

You’ve made a mess. I’m not sure any useful info will come from your Lynch, but I think it would be impossible to stop it at this point. Pending your reveal, I will consider the little info you have provided us.

If you somehow survive, please consider a less extreme approach to the game.

Idle, you want us to adapt and learn regarding his playstyle. But you know what? I’m not the one who keeps getting lynched because I refuse to self-examine my strategies. I’m not the one who’s paying the price. Why should I adapt? I’ll tell you what I am, idle. I’m the one who’s been back for two games now, this one and the last GB game, who’s had Days that were markedly less fun because of the hostility you don’t think you exhibit. You’ve made me question why I even came back to play. It’s a game, it’s supposed to be fun. Please stop making it less fun. That is why you are getting lynched, and that’s why I’m completely okay with it. Sure, there’s meta that suggests you’re scum, but I think that’s beside the point anymore and isn’t the main crux of what’s happening here.

Well crap.

Ok, while there are ways that screenshot could be faked without a whole lot of trouble, that would be well outside of the spirit of the game. So while I had no problem with voting for Idle for meta reasons, and keeping that vote there for reactionary reasons, I’m going to say now that he’s town.

Almost certainly about-to-be-modkilled town, but on the off chance that he gets spared the axe, I’m not going to help lynch him.

Of course I’m laying low. Everytime I open my mouth I get votes no matter what I say. ToDay, if you’ll note, I have not been posting much fluff, have done some analysis, picked out who exactly I think are the Scum, and have placed my vote on a self-claimed 3P because, having played Storyteller and Mahaloth’[s games before, I have real difficulty in believing in a harmless 3P. And I know sachertorte is a fairly subtle player, one who could carry it off. (Case in point, he is.) Anyone who says Scum wouldn’t do that misses the cardinal rule: there is nothing Scum won’t do.

In short, I’m playing the game. Glad to play with you again, by the way!

I’m not sure if you are trying to make the case that Sach is scum or hostile 3P. If scum, where do you stand on Crys. If 3P, why do think they need to be lynched now?

Did you know there was a little dumb waiter attached to one of the local buildings in Town? And that the dumb waiter opens up to the outside? I know, it’s……well, dumb. Anyway, it made a clunking noise and rode up. It had a body in it.

Jsgoddess is dead. She was the Beta Wolf.

But wait, there’s more! A third body was found….in a really weird position. It was hanging from the top of the local church, dangling from the cross on the steeple. It had…a potato stuffed in its mouth. It might have even suffocated/choked on the potato before dying of other causes. Weird…and….well, weird.

Thing Fish is also dead. He was the Omega Wolf.

It’s Night 3 now. It will end at 3 pm on Tuesday, January 31. All actions due by then.

Final note: I disagree strongly with how Idle behaved during Day 3. It was, in my opinion, sucking the fun out of what is a very fun game for many players and the mods. Can we return to having proper fun, now? You know, with the jokes, the accusations, the backstabs, the wild and unfounded statements, etc.?

That above game was TEN years ago. Ten years ago I was saying people were playing crappy if I thought they were. You’re only now noticing this? I’ve always played this way. A blunt, outward, aggressive type of player. And more so when…as I said in post 833…people are voting for me or thinking I’m scum due to meta reasons…not actual gameplay reasons.

No… they are saying exactly what you said in that 10 year old quote. They think you are either scum or playing a really crappie town game.

This was useful for me, though I’m not sure it’s as revealing as I had hoped. I couldn’t decide if I should force myself to answer even when I really didn’t know. Too many are “I don’t know.” Some I should probably have an opinion on because they have been participating. Others are so absent it’s hard to feel one way or another.

But in filling it out, I found that two people ping me the hardest: Pleonast and Prof. Pepperwinkle. The first for lots of oddities around interactions with Normal Phase and Thing Fish. The second for the “I won’t post because I just post fluff/lynch lurkers/I’m totally not lurking/lynch lurkers/you can’t find scum through any other means/if I stop advocating for lynching lurkers you’ll attack me but I don’t do it other places/now I’ll start playing!” series of posts (paraphrased, obviously) that just made me feel that he is talking for the sake of talking. Considering that the day doc killer is also a wolf, I doubt that’s the cause of the extra death. And if you mean that the Beta Wolf died using her power, it only triggers on a successful protection, so that still means another killer out there.
