Mafia Reunion - Day Two
Welcome to the game; you are The Second Deacon of the Cult of Lutha

ALIGNMENT: Third Party (Non-Hostile)
YOU WIN along with all members of the Cult, living or dead, if any of the (number redacted) Cultists of Lutha are alive when the game ends in any way.

BACKGROUND:
Some people venerate wealth or power, or chase sirens of fame or possessions. Not you. You care nothing for the bloodlust of the Werewolves, or the base greed and pinstripes of the Mafia, or even for the pleasant camaraderie of the Town. You are the Cult of Lutha, and your numbers are legion. Actually, your numbers are (redacted). You don’t know one another’s names or faces, but so long as even one of you remains alive, the principles of Lutha will triumph in the end.

(Postscript: “Lutha” stands for “Leave Us the Hell Alone.” You are no threat to any side. Good luck convincing them of this).

POWERS:
You may investigate any player by Night to determine whether your target is a fellow Cultist. However, once you successfully find such a player, you may no longer continue to investigate.

Just to clarify the situation.

I got my switch PM about 23 hours after my role PM. No way around it, I said something stupid while trying to fish for information on how to best use my switching abilities.

Twas a dumb line to post.

Maybe not because I believe you. I may have put a bigger target on my back, but I’m hoping scum will allow us to test this little wifom, and also giving us a chance to move forward in the game.

Or perhaps Brewha was just not ready to claim yet. He would not be able to produce evidence to the contrary without claiming. And he did say that he thought your assumptions were probably not correct. I can’t see a scum motivation for Brewha lying here.

Or PEDIT: Maybe he just made a mistake. :frowning:

I’m not against a second lynch, just saying that lynch-lynch-flip-flip is not nearly as good as lynch-flip-lynch-flip. Especially in a case, for instance, where we have a claim and counterclaim, we’d want to see the flip before lynching the other one.

Not sure that’s going to help much. I’m going to come back as not one of your cult. From your PM, it doesn’t appear that my actual role will be revealed to you.

sachetorte, please forgive my earlier protests about double lynching. I’m all in for whatever it takes to knock off both Crys and brewha today.

I’m particularly concerned about pleas for not lynching brewha today. I don’t know why he might need or want to have an extra Night, but I don’t trust it.

Here is my reasoning, with quotes. First up, the Captain states that

My bolding above. Captain Klutz has planted a breadcrumb that the opposite faction will have control over a power switch. Town over scum. Scum over town. Moving on to the next piece of evidence.

Bolding was Captain’s in this case.

He starts right off by stating that his button is for a scum power. I have 2 issues with this. One is the breadcrumb he has already laid that town would hold scum and scum would hold town. I think he’s playing to that. Second, if a town person had a scum power button why would they ever say so.

Think about it.

The button turns off the power. Sure there’s someone else out there with another button that can turn it back on. Sure there are power roles that can futz all the buttons, but the easiest scum path forward at this moment is to kill Captain. No mess, no fuss. Don’t need to worry about what power it is. Have to kill all townies anyway right, if you’re scum? Why not prioritize the guy who has just announced he can ruin your plans?

Unless you’re scum and you don’t need to worry about it.

Maybe slip wasn’t the right word, because I did find the earlier breadcrumb when I went back and looked at earlier posting history. I stand by my belief that announcing you have a scum button is hinky as shit.

Vote Captain Klutz

You know, a lot happens while a person is composing a post.

**Crys, **
What result did you get back on your investigation N1? I’m not asking who you investigated, but just what your results look like. Are LUTHA/not LUTHA or are they LUTHA/TOWN/SCUM or are they LUTHA/TOWN/WOLF/MAFIA/other 3rd Party?

So let me get this straight. You are 3rd Party, you don’t know what brewha is, but you think brewha is third party like you. Why would you think this?
Are you going to do this for everyone that we want to Lynch? You didn’t seem concerned about lynching Colby or ToeJam or Lakai, what’s so special about brewha?

Why are you so keen on us not lynching Brewha? I mean, that’s super-duper suspicious.

OK

As clear as mud

If your win con is for one of the cult to survive to win - but nothing actually happens if you find another cultist? ok, so at most you can only know one out of N cultists.

I don’t get why you think brewha was a cultist, and what your investigation would prove - as your posted PM suggests the only response you get is whether they were were a cultist or not.

I’m not of the have to lynch 3rd parties asap camp, but need a little more than to develop trust. Can you share some more about what your win condition is?

As I follow your argument, it isn’t so much a slip as a breadcrumb. (FWIW, was was also making the assumption that a button for Party A’s power would be held by Parties B and C based on the previous switch game. I could also see the case for a mandatory vig button being in town hands, but still think it makes more sense in scum hands.)

Claiming the button made sense at the time because the wording differed and that’s an interesting wrinkle and it speaks to the brewha claim.

In context, I find nothing hinky about the speculation about the button placement or the claim.

The only thing that stays the same is change.

I’m fine with Crys as lynch #2 and can move my vote as needed for that.

This whole Crys and brewha thing is so weird. I actually wasn’t all that upset about brewha’s lie, but the Crys thing makes me really want brewha dead. Mainly because Crys really doesn’t want brewha dead.

I want to be online this weekend, but I also don’t want to make promises I wind up not keeping. So I’ll see you… later?

Drain Bead is not part of the cult of LUTHA.
that is how it looks like. Third parties aren’t always bad. I don’t see why you need to eliminate me now. You should be focusing on the scum…oh and since I flipped my switch last night a scum power may possibly might not succeed. I’m only saying this now cause whether you lynch me or not scum will take me out.

Knock knock knock

There is someone at the door. It’s a delivery man! Sign here please. Thank you.

You open up your package.

Inside is a box with a label. The label says Bodyguard switch. What does it do?

The switch is currently in the on position. You can toggle it if you like each Night. The next Night it will reset itself. Oh and there is also a note that there is another one of these out there. Huh. They may effect each other.

Have fun with your gift!

You towns people need to take out scum. You have terribly bad aim this time around. You should focus on scum hunting. Not killing someone that has no issue to do with your win/con.

Well it was a gut instinct. Sometimes they are wrong, but I tend to follow my gut in these situations. Not always wise, however my life has taught me to follow your gut.

Yay, finished my first skim of 12 pages and found these interesting events!

Crys, how many luthas are there out there? 7 perhaps?

No. I copy pasted my role pm. I cannot be anymore specific than that.
