It had been a long Day, for it seemed that every time the town had found out someone, and was prepared to shackle him for the long walk off a short plank, he made an claim to have some sort of special ability to help the town. First, there was Zeriel, he’d been harboring suspicion for several Days, and it finally peaked in the early afternoon sun.

However, he claimed to be a monk. Well, there is the monastery just outside the town, and they knew that storyteller0910 was also a monk. Surely, there were more than just those two at the monastery, and because no one calledh im a liar, his word was taken for truth hysteria turned to another victim… Pleonast.

Pleonast was an odd town-fellow; he was very curt and opinionated which had tended to ostracize him. But he too claimed to be special… a martyr. Huh? No one was familiar with what exactly this meant, and while it was enough to stave off the rabid, bloodthirsty crowd, it didn’t scare off everyone.

It was the rest of these who finally settled upon their victim for the day, Captain Klutz. Upon his conviction, he remained utterly silent and non-repetent. He wore a smug grin as he was led up the steps to Nairu’s sacred water. As he reached the edge, he glared down and, with a raised brow and a sigh, stepped in…
The rabbling grew sharply, surely they’d finally caught another cultist, for he did not sink. As he was dragged out of the pool, it took all the might of the officials to keep the crowd from having at the man’s flesh with their nails and teeth. But in due time, he was finally tied to a stake, the kindling lit, as the flame consumed his flesh. Even in burning agony, he remained silent and unflinched, with merely a glare of disapproval upon those who watched on as his life was purified in the blaze. And as the flames died, his remains were checked for seemingly needless clues, yet not a talisman, pendant, nor symbol was found upon his corpse.

Captain Klutz, a Non-Believer, has been burned at the stake.

The Night will end at 1:45 AM EDT on Monday or when all Night instructions are received. Also note that the next Day will only be 4 days.
