It will be interesting to see when **Queuing ** and NAF decide to change their votes if at all and I am looking forward to seeing how this one plays out. It is nice to see the town acting as a group instead of individually.
And as for Pleonast. **MHaye ** has already marked him as a believer and as no-one else has claimed as the secret role, that makes him a townie. I don’t see there being two Prophet type roles in this game, which puts him on the town side. As for what his role can do, he may have said Martyr but he could be anything although, I have a couple of ideas about what exactly he can do.
Assuming you’re both town for the sake of the argument:
Your role says you have to:
1)Pick a Cultist out of all the remaining players
2)Multiply that number by 1/C
3)Multiply that number by .75
Pleo’s role has to
Pick who the Cult is going to target
Before the Monk debacle, we were able to find exactly one scum. Although the Cult have various criteria for selecting a target, their night kills, IMHO, are much more predictable and easier to identify in advance than finding a Cultist. I think, if his power is what he says it is, it is more powerful than yours. Last Night was different, because we knew who a Cultist was, so in that specific case, your power had the potential to be more useful.
 She’s the Alchemist and we’re taking away her one sure block target. I presume this is obvious and you’re deliberately blowing smoke.
Do you have some inside information about Pleonast’s role other than the title, Martyr? Did I miss a post where he described his role in detail? I’m not making any assumptions based on what sachertorte linked way back on Role Claim day unless someone thinks sachertorte had some inside information about the Secret Role that the rest of us do not.
(Underlining added.) Nice that you think I’ve worked out what my powers are. But, I’m sure everyone else realizes I haven’t revealed any of them. And gotten some flac for it. I think you’re mixing up the Cultists’ conversations with what we’re saying here.
That combined with your unsatisfying explanation for you voting abstention: Unvote zuma Vote Pygmy Rugger
I like Cat’s plan for taking out zuma, but let’s do that Tomorrow.
I will be well and truly off the net for the next three days, but should be back Friday.
Can you explain to me why Hockey’s interests should be put above the interests of the town?
What’s a Martyr do? They die for their cause. Assuming Pleo’s cause is having the town win, it seems obvious to me he’d do so by protecting a more powerful role. In order to do so, he’d have to pick someone to protect. Similar to protecting like a doctor, but Pleo would die instead, allowing the townie to continue using his powers. Since Pleo said he didn’t want to play WIFOM with the scum, this seems like the most logical option.
Have the rest of you not even thought of what Pleo’s power could actually be? Give it a gander, at least, or we could be in serious trouble.
What a crappy time to not be able to get online, though I was happy to learn that a significant amount of what I had to catch up on could be ignored as zuma just mumbling to himself in the corner.
I’m comfortable with CatinaSuit’s plan, though I will not be able to babysit for vote-swings at the end of the Day. Is Pleonast’s participation “required” for the plan to work?
I’ve been trying to ignore him as much as possible, as I am powerless to shed any light on him whatsoever. Vote history and post-review could hold clues, but can also be manipulated as such. So I’m trying to make him as much of a non-entity as I can, until he dies or decides to tell us something. I’m also not keen on meta-gaming with the Martyr link that sachertorte linked to earlier. We already have our hands full of unknown variables without wandering off to find a host more for which we have no tools to prove or disprove.
