Mafia V: The Cult of Sekham

Perhaps sachertorte can help with mine - I’m trying to mix a cocktail in the correct proportions, but all I have are these 2 unmarked cups…

Oh that’s easy. Just pick the biggest one and fill it up.

:drums fingers on bar:

Let’s go, nightcrawlers! Some of us want to get back to the game!

There is an easy way to prevent this… Vote Blaster’s fiancee

My wife loves it to death…My feeling is that it’s an ok enough movie, but compared to most of my wife’s DVD collection, it’s fricking gold. She’ll always watch it if she comes across it on TV – sometimes I’ll stick around, sometimes I’ll putter around in the workshop.

As Julia Stiles movies go, I prefer Save The Last Dance. She’s quite a good actress…underrated and underutilized, if’n you ask me. Of course, she is responsible for The Best Thing Ever To Appear On TV: “Can you jam with the console cowboys in cyberspace?”
P.S. Let’s go, scum! Murder someone already!

sigh I guess it was too much to hope for that Day would have started by now before I got on.

Same here. I’m a big movie watcher myself…so I’m assuming you and your wife are major movie watchers?

And I agree with you about Julia Stiles. I really liked Save the Last Dance too. The Hours wasn’t so bad either.

Not so much anymore. Having a baby seems to have put a damper on that for the time being. The last film we saw in the theater was Revenge Of The Sith.

We don’t even watch them at home much anymore, but that’s pretty much my fault. When we bought this place a year ago, we got the TV and DVD player all hooked up, but I didn’t run the surround speakers right away. Then, when I finally hooked them up, I decided to do it right. I drilled into the floor and ran the wiring through the basement and then back up to the TV.

Then I discovered I suck at doing it right. Only one speaker worked. And that’s how it remains to this day. Can’t watch a DVD 'cause it sounds like crap coming out of just one speaker, and we can’t go to the movies 'cause of the little one (although we’re starting to get our feet wet with handing her off to a babysitter now and then).

So, aside from the occasional flim we catch on one of the movie channels, no, we’re really not major movie watchers anymore. We’ll get back to it eventually, though…
Hmm…maybe I’ll run to Home D on my lunch hour and get some new speaker wire…

Hello…is this thing working?

Hey! FTR, it’s NOT me holding up the game this time.

Damnit, Blaster! Do you have any idea what it does to us to see your name in the “most recent poster” spot??

This will help pass the time…

A picture of my grandfather should be uploading to his imdb site within the next 72 hours. Y’all can twiddle your thumbs with me. I spent a good few hours cleaning off some scotch tape marks from the old photograph that I scanned. I think it looks pretty good for a novice using Graffic Converter, if I do say so myself. :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey, very cool Cookies! I remember that thread, but had forgotten that it was you that started it. Glad to hear the update!

I just replied to your topic there on the message board ComeToTheDarkSide.

Okay, I’ve received all Night instructions. The Night will be ending shortly.

BM, you have a very odd definition of “shortly”. taps foot

I won’t be online at all tomorrow, until VERY late in the day, just so everyone knows.

Hey, I have to process the Night instructions, and then I have to draft up a Dawn post. It’s almost done.

It had been a sad Night for the town. After the voting had come down between Hockey Monkey and Scuba_Ben, unsure if either really was a Cultist of Sekham, at least poor Scuba_Ben had not been. The least the townfolk could do was hold a toast over a glass of cool water to him. Beyond that, there was little alcohol consumed that evening.

Then came the Night, as many of the patrons returned home, the bar was nearly empty. It was a few strokes past midnight when in burst Hal Briston, a brilliant smile on his face. He had been strangely leaving a little early the last few days, at least since the Cultist trials had begun, and this was the first time he’d ever returned in the middle of the Night. He sat at the bar, and shared drinks with his bar compatriots for a few hours before stepping back out into the darkness completely wasted.

Giddy, the alleyway bellowed with his laughter as he meandered his way to the town square. “C’mon you…hic… scum! Hurry up and…hic…kill someone already!” Even the other drunkards rolled their eyes at his deliberate taunting of the Cultists, and they left him be. His drunken ramblings, and impromptu karaoke even survived the various threats yelled out from the homes adjoining the square.

In time, he came to silence not long before the sun began to rise. Soon thereafter, the citizens began to gather in the square, aghast at the horrific scene of a pool of blood and a trail leading from it down the road into a row of small homes. Brazenly, a few citizens led the way, following the path of blood to Hal Briston’s home. There, just inside the open doorway, lay his mangled body. His throat had been slit–the likely the source of the trail of blood–but it seemed it wasn’t until he had been brought back here that his heart had been viciously removed, and yet his eyes and tongue removed with surgical precision.

Alas, another citizen was dead. But soon… eyes rose unto the surroundings. Odd candles burned nearly to nubs, various herbs and reagents, incense and crystals were scattered across the floor. In the far corner laid a mat infront of an altar, with a crystal ball atop. No! The rumors of the Oracle WERE true… and now he was dead, with none of his findings revealed to the town.

On a second glance around the room, something was different. The crystal ball… it was gone! Then, perhaps, not all was lost. If he had an apprentice among the citizenry, maybe… just maybe it was he who had seized the orb and perhaps he can use it to enhance his powers. At least, we can hope…

Hal Briston, the Oracle, has been slain.

Oh. My. God.

The Cultists are either really good or really lucky.

OMG this is horrible.

I seem to have quite the ability to completely read everything wrong. Day 1 I vote for DigggitCamara – Crusader. Day 2 I vote for Hal Briston – Oracle. Day 3 Scuba Ben – Citizen. In M2 I went after BM, Zuma and Pleonast on day 2, all power roles for the town.

I play this game like my sense of direction. If I say “I think its left” go right. Everytime.

I just hope Hal Briston was able to leave some crumbs. I will take a quick look at his posts now.
