I was downstairs, watching a few minutes of Sesame Street Unpaved while I waited for the boards to come back up. Suddenly I’m scrambling for a video cassette. I find one, pop it into the machine, decide not to check to see if it’s cued up. “Anything on here can be re-recorded. And if it can’t, it’s still not worth more than this.”
Ladies and gentlemen, I now have most (not the first 30 seconds or so) of the original “Mahna Mahna” sketch from Sesame Street!

I managed to record an early SNL episode that had Jim Henson’s Creatures on it… if I can dig out my SNL Episode Guide - I’ll post which one it was.
I had TiVo watching Sesame Street Unpaved for me for awhile – but the classic bits were like needles in a haystack…

yea i kazaaed it a while ago. It was called Ma Na Ma Na. My favorite part is when the lead singer sort of forget’s what he’s doing during the break and spins around real quickly to start singing again
As I found out in this thread, the song’s originally from an Italian porno! Wrap your mind around that one, kiddies! 
If only my SO wasn’t convinced it’s “Ma na ma nop”. She’s a bit odd though.

The song as taken from a Muppet Show album (complete with exit commentary from Stafford and Waldorf) appears as an audio track to an animation (called “Mahna Mahna,” IIRC) on the website albinoblacksheep.com.
All told, it only runs about two minutes, and the animation repeats…hope this helps.
Uh, thanks…Not sure I want to look at a website that has a photo of Ernie sodomizing Bert…and I already have most of the sketch on tape now…anyway…
Yeah, I’m not honestly that much of a fan of that site by ANY stretch…a friend of mine was helping me track down “Mahna Mahna” for use on a radio show, and that was the only way to get it, so he linked me.
The animation for that was fairly behaved, as I recall…
Imagine the rich variety of “surprises” when I went to that homepage. “Zoicks,” as the man says…
Weird, the version of that song I have on CD (Oh, yeahh…) performed by the keyboard player from Pizzicato Five is titled Sweden Heaven and Hell on the CD. As your link noted, that is the title of the Italian porno (it’s a mondo movie actually) the song was originally from- is it possible that is also an alternate title?
