Marina Sirtis guest on NCIS tonight (4-23)

She looks pretty good for 58. She replaced Eli David as head of Mossad. Gibbs and Leon both had to get pretty firm with her.

I posted before the episode was over.

Yikes! It ended with Tony and Ziva in a car crash. From the previews, looks like one or both of them might not make it.

I know! I’m so worried. :frowning:

Did not recognize Marina Sirtis.

Did not like ending of episode.

Was expecting a cliffhanger, just not this kind.

I mostly figure it will all work out in the end–September, if not sooner–but . . .

Or neither of them! We can watch their contract negotiations and make predictions. ETA: Um, you mean other people don’t do that for fun?

To my knowledge,
Michael Weatherly is already under contract for next season. He signed a 2-year deal last summer. But Cote de Pablo is not.

I was expecting the car to blow up, so the accident wasn’t a surprise. Overall good episode, but how annoying were those scenes in fake Berlin? “Look how German we are! We’re all blondes in dirndls and lederhosen and we charge you ‘zwanzig Euro’ for your weissbier while standing in front of a German flag so it won’t occur to you that we’re standing on a set in Santa Clarita, CA checking off a list of stereotypes we found in the 1910 Encyclopedia Britannica.”

What would really be a shocking development is if Mossad ever did something ethical in this show. As soon as anyone with a Hebrew name appears, you know it’s going squirrelly.
Heh heh. She’s been making me “pretty firm” for years!!

She looked familiar, but I couldn’t place her. Found her in the DirecTV credits. She wasn’t listed in the IMDB credits for this episode, so I emailed them a correction.

Right before the previews, it said “last 3 episodes,” so I’m hoping we don’t have to wait til September…

Finally watched it. Marina was pretty good. But she’s about as Israeli looking as Cote de Pablo is.

Israelis are actually a pretty variable bunch, given the amount of immigration.

Psh, you guys should know by now that you NEVER take previews at face value. Sure, they

showed a body in the morgue AND did it right after everyone is all worried they won’t make it/are already dead, but that’s the obvious misdirect. They WANT everyone to think it’s Tony or Ziva. They made sure that you couldn’t make out any specifics about the body. I would guarandamntee it’s either the Mossad agent killed at the beginning of this episode, maaaybe one of the people in the other car, or someone else entirely.

My theories:
They were hit by the same SUV that had been outside Bodnar’s motel room. My guess is that they’re working with/for Bodnar and they smashed the car to get the diamonds back (also possibly to kill Ziva). I would think that Bodnar wasn’t in the SUV itself but nearby so he could get the diamonds without actually being in the collision.

Also possible: Orli either was behind the crash or is connected to it because she’s actually working WITH Bodnar. If the first, it was because she wanted to get rid of Ziva (Ziva clearly dislikes and distrusts her and is the daughter of the former director; it’s likely she could be a huge threat to Orli and her ambitions). If the second, add on that she is willing to do whatever it takes to get power).

As for the crash: they were t-boned and it looks like the point of impact was right in line with Ziva. Side impact collisions are much more likely to severely injure or kill (since there’s not as much between the occupant(s) and opposing car) and it’s more dangerous to be the near occupant (Ziva) than the far occupant (Tony). My guess is that both are badly injured but Ziva far worse. Likely a serious chance she won’t make it (maybe they’ll use the ol’ coma trope; tv loves comas!). And maybe they’ll FINALLY stop beating around the bush and one of them will finally tell the other they wanna go to the Bone Zone.
I thought for a long time that Sirtis was actually Israeli because of the accent she did for Troi in ST:TNG. I was flabbergasted the first time heard her speak in her real voice.

And yes, I have seen a number of Israeli women who looked remarkably like her, though they weren’t necessarily Jewish. Israel is a country with an exceptionally diverse population.

I work post on this dopey show. What happened to Marina’s eyes?? And when frat boy DiNozzo touched Ziva’s hand after the accident, but Ziva didn’t touch back, I said, “Yes! Finally!” I’m sick of hearing lessons of Israeli history/Israelli Black Ops every episode. As lame as the lists of statistics we heard every episode of L&O SVU.

My face after reading this post: ¬_¬

Y’know, you don’t have enough vitriol and passion here for me to consider this a threadshit… But I’d say you at least let loose a threadfart.

Locrian, you’re welcome to not like this show, but you’re completely off-topic in this thread, which is about a particular actor appearing as a guest star. If you would like to start a thread bitching about this show and/or its regular characters, feel free.
