And while I don’t believe in kink-shaming, he and that Laura Loomer who some people think may be dating the Dumpster would probably be very compatible, and not just politically.

I can’t believe none of this was brought to light before he was elected lieutenant governor.
During the last gubernatorial race, I can’t remember anything about his campaign, so I don’t think he presented as such an asshole. He’s certainly making up for it now. I can’t believe anyone would vote for him.
But then I thought the same about Trump.
In genral, state offices are just not under the same sort of scrutiny as national offices. No one cares enough to spend the respurces to go looking.
And I mean, I’ve been hugely active here for what, 25 years? And despite never really even trying to hide my identity, I think it would take a lot of investigating to connect me to my posts here (from here to my real life would be easy. Tons of clues. From my real life to here? Pretty tricky unless you had my browsing history. And, again, I dont make any attempt to hide it).
I do wonder if the story started on the porn site. Saying “who is this crazy guy?” and finding his is 1000x more straightforward than “I wonder if that guy said crazy ass shit anywhere on the internet”.
So apparently almost all his campaign staff quite yesterday (Sunday 9/22). Also the Republican Governors’ Conference is not buying any more ad time in or for North Carolina. And also, Robinson (according to WRAL news)
rejected multiple offers from supporters to connect him with information technology specialists to help the Republican gubernatorial nominee investigate racist and lewd comments on a pornographic website made by someone with a username that CNN tied to Robinson, people directly familiar with the matter told WRAL on Monday.
The phrase “circling the drain” comes to mind.

I am not a North Carolinian but I happen to be in the state just now on vacation. Driving through I’ve seen a gazillion political signs for Trump and Harris plus plenty for Stein, and just about every race on down through dog catcher, but nary a one for Robinson. It’s like he’s been wiped from the map. I wonder what his former supporters are saying to themselves?
Anyone like to fill this furriner in about who Mark Robinson is and what he is alleged to have done?

It was no surprise when, given his fiercly anti-choice stance (he wants a total abortion ban), it was revealed that he paid for his then-girlfriend to have an abortion. But it’s simply delightful that a guy who made a name for himself telling women they should keep their skirts down is now in the news for bragging about lifting his wife’s sister’s skirt.
I drove through a swath of N.C. last week and was amazed (and gratified) by all the highway signs for various candidates and propositions, including anti-J.D. Vance snark. I don’t recall seeing any Robinson signs (this was before the “black Nazi”/porn stuff came out). The mostly pro-Democrat slant of the signs I saw is probably explained by the route going through/near bigger cities like Raleigh, Winston-Salem and Chapel Hill.
It must be nice living in a swing state, if you can tolerate the cacophony.
I don’t know if AZ is technically a swing state, but we can’t watch live TV any longer. Political commercials non stop in, say, Jeopardy, first one side then the other.
Marines praising Ruben Gallego, marines vilifying him, Kari Lake will save us, Kari Flake will doom us. And of course dueling trump-Harris commercials, often back-to-back. MAKE IT STOP!
