Mark Your Calendars: NYC MegaDopefest III -- January 3-5, 2003

Oh, and BTW:

We need to get the Stroller Brigade together for kid-friendly stuff to do.

Robin

Hey, didn’t I email you about a spot on the floor or couch or whatever?

I’m just in here to say that I am still freakin’ THERE barring natural disaster. If I can only come up with $10 for the weekend I will freakin’ bring my own crackers.

Mwahahaha. And planning to carpool in my vehicle, so I know I have a ride. No cleavage shirt, tho. And it’s possible I’m bringing a non-Doper (but Doper-friendly) friend along as well, ha-HA!

This might be a good time to mention that I’m planning on going. And if I can beg a place to crash from someone?

What a pity. It was a sweet mental image while it lasted.

You don’t understand how it works. You just show up, and if anyone has a problem, that’s their tuff sh*t.

C’mon, I’ve already promised you cawfee when you get here. What more do I have to do?

Well, you promised me cawfee last time. I never got it. Nyah.

and don’t even mention lunch with Billdo & manny…that was manny’s idea, not yours…

Two words, my little ginger snap:

  1. Cross

  2. Streets

New York ain’t Flint, in case you hadn’t noticed. :stuck_out_tongue:

Dave? IIRC, we met in front of the coffee shop.

:stuck_out_tongue:

After I spent two and a half hours trying to hunt you down in midtown Manhattan.

There’s more than one Starbucks near Penn Station, in case you hadn’t noticed.

Knowing which one you intended to be in would have been a plus.

Waterj2: Hey, you did, didn’t cha? I think you said you weren’t sure – want me to hold a space or no?

Mrs. Robyn: Yes m’am. Honeymoon suite comin’ right up.

Hama: I’m looking forward to seeing you again, kiddo. Didn’t bring a tent, did you? I think we’re down to the backyard; gets kind of cold, too.

Yes, if you could, please hold a space.

Thanks.

So, uh, is there any sort of itinerary yet? Not that I’m not a last minute kinda guy myself, but just something specific to look forward to?

“Of all the Starbucks in all the crummy towns in the world, she has to walk into mine.”

Persephone, if Dave gets all cranky, I’ll be happy to meet you for breakfast one morning!

Actually, RT, I really think this “cawfee” thing has run its course. Really.

That, and I have only just realized that this year I shant have the same location to stay at as last, and thus, I’m in trouble. I figure my wife’ll be along, too (probably) and so I am seeing a bit of a problem.

Bah! We shall persevere, Yossarian!

If anyone still needs floor space, I’ve got a hotel room at 31st and 5th (or so). There’s only the one bed, and I can’t actually vouch for how much floor space there is (having never stayed there), but the offer stands nonetheless. I’ll be there during the nights of the 2nd through the 5th (four nights, that is).

Barring other alternatives, may I be the first to take you up on that offer, Lindy?

[sub]Actually, could you get in trouble for having additional people staying in your room?[/sub]

Well, they say it’s like $20 extra per person per night (with a maximum of three people per room), so no biggie. You’re there. We can sort out the details via e-mail.

Yeah, along LindyHopper’s lines, anyone up for sharing a room? Or, if no one is, any NY Dopers still have floorspace? I can afford the flight in, and about $200 for lodging, but that’s it. So sharing is definitely in order. I’ll be there the nights of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th.

Email if you’d like, and thanks.

Great. Talk to you that way!!! >>>>>>>

[sub]Heh. That was a little joke.[/sub]
