The new Barenaked Ladies CD is out today, and it’s awesome.
I remember there were the two BNL threads a few weeks ago in MPSIMS, and some people asked about the next CD. Well, it’s out. Go get it! Get the limited edition of the CD if you can.
Favorites so far: “Too Little, Too Late”, “Pinch Me”, and “Conventioneers”.
I agree whole-heartedly. “Conventioneers” is probably my favourite so far. “Too Little Too Late” also a fave. There’s also some great irony in “Tonight Is The Night I Fell Asleep At The Wheel”; it’s about what’s in the title, but the music sounds like an eerie children’s song. I really like the whole CD.
It’s good to see Kevin (the piano player) back with the band. He was battling Leukimia, and apparently is feeling better.
And the bonus CD is hilarious.
Just in case anyone hasn’t heard about it, “Marooned In Europe” has been and is playing on Much Music. It’s a documentary type of show following BNL through their European tour. Looks pretty good.
