My hives are back again…

So what else is new? :frowning:

Pie – I’m real sorry to hear that.

As for new ------- there is about four inches of snow on my grill and snow is still falling slightly ------- so its time to BBQ!!! I got the firebox started and ribs soaking and come about 7 I have plans of some good eating. Even walked up the store and splurged for some corn-on-the-cob to grill besides the smoker (over the firebox side) and that will make for a great treat. Can’t wait!

Hmm… Where in PA are you? I’m guessing we can be there for dinner in about 1 1/2 hours.

After slowing to almost nothing, the snow is coming down in earnest again. SIL and daughter were about to go out and shovel when it started back up. I expect 3 of us will be shoveling first thing in the morning. yay. :stuck_out_tongue:

All of this goes double for Hippy Hollow except the “good road clearing plans” part. You know it’s bad when the interstates shut down.

My adventures in Snowpocalypse '09. My sisters in the middle of the state got 6 inches. Adopted Dad and Mom in Pirateville got sleet. Hippy Hollow got a lot of heavy, wet snow. I’m staying home for the next two days. I’m grateful that I got home today, otherwise I’d still be at work pitching in wherever I can.

So far the “NO SNOW” signs are workin’ good here.

Just thought I’d report that. It’s cool out though. I survived work. RAH!

We’re meetin’ some friends for dindin tonight. That should be fun. We’re goin’ to a good local restaurant and even have reservations. High class ain’t it!

I feel the need to go soak in the tub while sippin’ upon a glass of wine.

Later Y’all!

That is pretty high class - how are *you *gonna get in??
:stuck_out_tongue:

Gah. Of course my scanner has to go and break the one time I actually need it to work. I mean, it’s just not nearly as much fun to break down at any other point in time when there’s zero inconvenience to me, right?

This leaves me with a giant whopping stack of old family photos I can’t scan for Grandmumsy Dearest. I’m more than a little bit bummed at the moment. :frowning:

We have a connection in the kitchen who’s gonna sneak me in from the back under the dessert tray. Works everytime! :stuck_out_tongue:

CutiePie meant to say earlier, sorry your hives are back. Here’s hopin’ they go away for good soon.

I’m all relaxated after my wonderful soak in the tub. Kinda makes we wish we weren’t goin’ out cause I really want to just put on sweatpants, tshirt and my wonderful terrycloth robe. I mean, if it were say Three Squares Diner or DQ we were goin’ to I could wear that, but this place means real adult type clothes. Why must life be so mean to me!

I need to go get dressed. We’re havin’ cocktails at a friends’ house before dinner.

When we go high class, ain’t no flies on us!

I’m sorry the hives are back, Pie.:frowning:

Just a typical winter day here in the Pacific Northwest. Rain, rain, rain. I’ll take that over snow, thankyewverymuch.

I’ve got the prezzies wrapped for the little Christmas party we’re going to attend tonight. Just our core group and a couple of extras. I hope they like what we got them. Really, the best part of Christmas for me is watching others unwrap what we got them. I like the giving better than the receiving, even though I grouse sometimes about how our list seems to grow.

Tomorrow, I’ll head out to buy stocking stuffers and the gift I forgot to buy the other day. Mr. Taters is going to the butcher shop to pick up ribeyes, so we can make a birthday dinner for our daughter’s boyfriend.

Other than, I got nuttin’. I should have been cleaning furiously today, but just didn’t feel like it. I’ve got time…

Feel better, Pie - hives suck.

btw - First on 6! :stuck_out_tongue:

FCD’s company gave everyone - employees and clients - 8# honey baked hams. That was supper. Well, not all 8#, but a bunch of slices. Very tasty!! Plus I’ll have a ham bone - BEAN SOUP TIME!!!

The news guys said National Airport got 14" so far, and our area got more. We’ve got a shoveling morning ahead. rah. They were also talking about all these people who got stuck in the snow. I guess staying home wasn’t an option?? Yeah, I know some folks work, but I’m guessing there were shoppers and such clogging the roads. It’d be nice if we could get out for breakfast in the morning.

Luckily, we didn’t lose power. So far. Knock wood.

For all rights and purposes, downtown Pittsburgh -------- and you would be more than welcome. I always make enough for extra people and extra meals. And pardon me if I burp while I type this.

I had these really lean boneless ribs so I did them fairly low and slow (2 hours) over (beside really) a mixture of applewood and hickory. I threw in some corn on the cob and salt crusted baked potatoes (in honor of Dan Quayle :p) and right at the end I put a skillet of mushrooms and onions over the firebox. It was dam good eatin, even if I do say so myself. The wife is having a post-meal coma while looking all glassy-eyed at something on TV - so I get to catch up on the Dope. It beats going to the party we were scheduled to attend tonight so I say thanks to all the Snow-gods out there for it!

You know, in the UK, being on page 6 generally meant being topless. Just sayin’…

Still chewin’ on gauze, but the bleeding has slowed, so that’s good. Going to try and eat some cream of celery soup shortly.

In NYC, being on Page Six means you’re a celebrity who did some über-gossip-worthy thing.

Everyone’s gossiping about rosie’s topless post on page 6…

Spaz has the sillies! :p:D

That’s some snow, FCM!

Dinner sounds yummy, kopek. Are there leftovers?

I worked for almost four hours and got a bunch done, then went shopping and hit a bunch of places I knew wouldn’t be terribly crowded.

Used my $10 off coupon at World Market and my 30% off card at Kohl’s. Got new slippers for both home and work. (My office is a freezer; I got some slipper-sock boots that should be OK as long as I’m in or near my office.) Got stuff for my staff and for Mom. Still need to get something for one of my colleagues (I owe her a thank you) and a few more things for staff. I’ll hit Jo-Ann’s tomorrow to get remaining stuff on my list. Also need something for my brother.

I’ve had dinner and am about to clean some stuff up and maybe wrap some presents.

I was going to say more, but can’t remember what right now…

ETA: remembered one thing: Hope you feel better soon, Pie. Can they change your medication?

Back later.

GT

Thanks, guys. Well, they seem to be worse at night in general, but not quite as bad as last night… If that makes sense.

Well, kopek, thanks. We ended up having tacos for dinner and they were pretty tasty too.

GT, we are working on readjusting the meds. There isn’t really anything that can be done until the hives are completely gone so for now I’m just waiting and itching.

Not too much else going on here. TVMan is sleeping and I’m watching a movie online.

Home. Canes won, bought new jersey, am tired, happy pronounless.

Sorry the hives are back, Pie

Dotty, you can get a $265 dryer here. I bought the $400 extra large manly dryer.

If you’re anything like TVMan, you’ll fill it until the clothes that are supposed to be drying can barely move inside. I think that’s the manly thing to do. :stuck_out_tongue:

The hives are definitely much better tonight than last night. Hopefully tomorrow they’ll be gone.
