Mary, dontcha know me? (You don't like my cookies anymore?)

Hi,

I post this here in case it’s happened to anyone else. If it’s just a local thing, accept my apologies and it can die.

For over a month now, SD doesn’t sign me in automatically, as it has for years. Could be after ipad upgrade to iOS 7, but I can’t remember. Once I sign in, with “remember me,” if I close the session it’s back to square one again.

This is severely cramping my target-of-opportunity quick comment blows, because now I look at the threads, way the critical necessity for posting against the trouble to sign in, and decide against it. I am sure the quality of the board has risen as a result, but I feel creatively stifled without my usual hai-trigger release of commentary.

Any help?
Thanks,
Leo

Nothing’s changed here. Not sure of what to tell you, as I am not among the upgraded.

Any Dopers care to weigh in on this? Have you had this problem?

Sorry for your inconvenience.

In the interest of making sure we get as much Leo as possible, I have hunted up a possible solution. I don’t have any i devices to test it on though, so can’t check if it works or not.

Go here, Leo, and follow the instructions - Turn On Auto-Fill Password for Safari on the iPad iOS 7 – iPad Nerds

If that fails, perhaps a different browser might be in order.

It may be a corrupted cookie. Try deleting it then logging in again.

If nothing else works, click quote for a post. It should take you back to the quoted post after it logs you in. Delete the quoted part, and post whatever you wanted to. Keeps you from having to find the thread again after you’ve logged in.
