meep, meep, what do YOU drive?

What gets you from point a to point b? Is it the way you want to go? Or is there a totally hot vehicle that you’d rather be driving?

I’ll go first: Exisiting: '89 Ford tempo
Existing only in my mind: Chrysler 300 in that odd sort of green color

99 ford ranger.

I’d prefer a Toyota corolla or honda civic since my truck only gets 16mpg in the city and has no storage space for groceries.

1994 Saturn SL2, plum. 226,000 miles. I love my car, but I’d love it more in its original condition with a CD player.

Right now I drive a 2003 Nissan Xterra, my wife drives an 2002 Dodge Caravan.
I’d like to drive a classic oldsmobile, maybe something from the mid-70’s with a 454. My wife has always wanted a Cadillac.

2001 Nissan Sentra. I’ve only had it since September, but I’m rather fond of it. Looks respectable, hauls plants and dirt around without complaints, can accommodate my niece and nephew, when necessary. First car I’ve owned where I actually like the color (jade). I hardly ever need to drive, so my main requirement is that it will get me from point A to point B reliably for a really long time.

My neighbor owns the coolest sportscar ever. I’ve never seen one like it. He has automotive connections, so it’s probably a rare breed. I can’t imagine owning something like it, but it’s nice to get to admire it occasionally.

GT

I drive a 2000 Range Rover, hubby’s car is a 2002 Discovery. Love 'em.

My dad just got a new vehicle- a Segway Human Transporter! It is the coolest thing ever! He may never drive his truck again!

V reg (1999) Nissan Primera. Ugly car, drab interior, but nice to drive and was very, very cheap. Has given me no problems at all.

'93 Nissan Pathfinder. 180,000 miles. I just can’t break the thing. It has never failed to start, never failed to get me where I wan’t to go and home again.

My Wife has a '02 Grand Jeep Cherokee. Very nice vehicle. Still rugged enough that I consider it an SUV. But very nice to drive on the road.

When I replace the Pathfinder in a few years, I will probably take the Jeep, and my wife will get the new vehicle. I just hope that there are still a few SUV’s to choose from when that time comes

I have the same car … with a CD player

'97 Cherokee. Bright blue-green (we’ve only ever seen two others the same color)

Hoping to buy a VW Golf TDI or an Echo hatchback, save some gas, and just use the Jeep for off-roading and camping trips. We’ll see about that one.

'03 Honda CRV. Excellent winter vehicle and small enough to park easily.

What would I like? 1965-1968 GTO Tri-Power convertible. Mmmmmmmmmm…

98 suzuki sidekick jxl 4x4 sport
By far my favorite car so far. Four wheel drive is great for our winters, and the its not huge, but big enuf for smaller projects. Best thing is I’ve only had to repair the clutch plate ($200) since I’ve bought it. Reliable as hell.

I drive a 98 Dodge Ram 1500 (no the thing ain’t got a hemi) and Mrs. Jockey drives an 01 Ford Taurus (with a sunroof and spolier, woo!)

If it’s all the same, I’d rather be behind the wheel of a BMW 760Li

Or maybe a new Mustang wow, do I love that new body style.

I’d settle though, for the 300.

Alas, all those are unlikely. I’m probably gonna drive truckster until the wheels fall off, and then buy a used jeep wrangler.

1994 Escort Wagon. Silver blue except the front bumper, which I had to replace when I rear ended a Grand Prix earlier this year.

It had 116,000 miles on it when I bought it in August 2001. It now has 128,000.

I don’t go anywhere much.

1999 Firebird Formula.

And no, I’m not going to “race” you. And yes, I would probably “beat” you. Especially if you’re driving a dropped Civic, Eclipse, or Neon with an aftermarket spoiler and chrome exhaust tip. You’re just going to have to accept that.

A Champagne (sparkly) convertible, 2001 Corvette. This is my dream car. I look GOOD in it
And Severian I won’t race you either, It would only embarrass you.

'03 Subaru Outback. Not great mileage, but heavy enough to make me feel safe when I’m next to an 18 wheeler going 80 MPH on Interstate 10. And a very very comfortable car, for short and long hauls. I know it’s not officially cold here in the desert, but this winter I have used the seat heater many times on an early morning. Fantastic!

My dream car - probably an '05 Outback! And a Porsche, not for work but for trips into LA and Vegas and such.

VW New Beetle, bright yellow. Wouldn’t trade it for anything. It is my dream car.

Right now I’m driving a Volvo XC70

I have an electric red 2003 BMW 325Ci, with a manual transmission.

It’s absolutely awesome.

Here’s a pic.

I wouldn’t trade it for anything under $80,000.
