Nice car. Is it stock? Because if it is, we wouldn’t even need to race. I already know the outcome.
I drive a '95 GMC 1/2 ton pickup, short bed, extended cab. I really don’t need a pickup, except that I have two small boats. When I asked dealers, “Can I tow a small trailer with that (small car)?” they changed the subject.
If I had my druthers, I’d have Jaguar sedan, and I’d hire somebody to tow the boat. Then, just for grins, I’d have a 1959 Buick Invicta convertible.
I don’t street race. That’s for guys that aren’t sure they have balls.
1996 Chevrolet Impala SS.
I will have a Nissan Titan when I graduate.
My car is a bright metallic blue 2004 Honda Civic Ex coupe. I bought it new in January and I have only put 5600 miles on it, I know- lame :o (it had 8 miles on it when I bought it). It was my first new car ever!
I drive a 1997 Ford Aerostar which I got new 7 years ago. I’ve put on most of its 152K miles myself, and I dread the day when it finally dies. I’m not a fan of sporty cars, but we did have a couple of 'Vettes in the past, and I must admit, they were fun to drive. If some mysterious benefactor wants to give me a nice surprise, I think a 1954 'Vette would be nice - how cool to drive a car as old as I am!!
Since this is basically a poll, I’ll move it to In My Humble Opinion for you.
Cajun Man
for the SDMB
I currently drive a Patriot Blue[sup]TM[/sup] 2002 Ford Taurus SE.
My dream car would be a black 2005 Lincoln Town Car with tinted windows.
'94 Suzuki Swift GT. It fits the “meep meep” in the thread title.
It runs really well, and fits my needs. I’m considering the Aerio for my next car, but I’m not ready to buy a new car yet.
Dream car? I don’t know - I’m not a big one for fancy cars, so I’m pretty happy with what I have.
Me - 2000 Mustang conv.
Wife - 2004 Mazda 3 hatch
I really should have sold the Mustang this summer and bought a pickup, but we just got the Mazda, and two payments is too many.
My current dream car would be an RX-8, but that has even less practicality than the Mustang, so…

87 Camaro Iroc-z
97 Jeep Grand Cherokee
97 Subaru Legacy
What I want is a Dodge Viper!
1993 Jeep Cherokee Country four-door 4WD white with gold trim and tan interior. I had wanted to get one just like it that was green with grey interior but it turned out that one had major drivetrain problems, so I went with the white one and have grown quite fond of it.
I’d still rather have a '53 Hudson Hornet four-door, navy blue or forest green.
I drive a 1994 Accord. The paint’s screwed up, it doesn’t like to start on cold mornings, and there’s a series of stains in the back seat that makes it look like a small child exploded. Also, it’s got over 170,000 miles on it.
From here, it’s taken me to California, Vegas, and Mississippi. It’s going to take me to Cali again here in a little under a week.
What I’d rather be driving…
A Toyota Echo, manual transmission and air conditioning. Or maybe a Miata. I like my cars like I like my women – low maintainence.
1995 Nissan 200SX SE-R - cute, red, zippy, big sunroof, handles well, in almost perfect shape, new to me a week ago with less than 50,000 miles and no car payment! **I love my little car! ** All reports are that it’ll go forever and then some, but if it lasts for the next two years until WinkieHubby’s car is paid off, then I’ll be happy.
WinkieHubby drives a black 2003 Subaru WRX wagon - it’s a little more zippy than my car
1990 Toyota Celica GT, about 118,000 miles.
It’s taken me across North America three times, up and down the US West Coast once, and between Ohio and Massachusetts more times than I can count.
Now it’s in semiretirement in Seattle. I live in an urban neighborhood with good public transit and my wife and I both walk to work, so we normally drive on weekends only. I fill the gas tank once a month, whether it’s needed or not.
It’s been a good car, and I’ll miss it when it’s gone.
2002 Kia Spectra. It’s a thoroughly bland vehicle.
I miss my 2000 Ford Ranger Off-Road. It was Electric Blue and could go anywhere. I really miss it when it snows, as the Kia sometimes can’t back out of parking spots in the snow.
1995 Mazda Millenia, tan colored.
Its a good car, but I like trucks personally. Only got this one cause I could get the car for the price that it cost to fix the transmission.
I’d like an el camino
2004 GMC Sierra 1500 z71 extended cab all black. It’s fully loaded with every option including the 5.3L V8. First new car I’ve ever had. I’ve wanted one of these since I was 10 years old and got it in September.
1997 Ford Crown Victoria w/ police package. I only paid $571. It has 120k miles and it was a Village of Ashville police cruiser. Still had the police stickers on it when I bought it. I call this car the “maniac car” and plan on driving the piss out of it. Currently not running so I’m hoping it will warm up long enough to get this car operational.
I must have been in a car buying mood this year because I bought these cars just a couple months apart. I used to want a Corvette but I can’t afford one and they aren’t very practical. Can’t justify $52k for a vehicle that can only carry two people and maybe a suitcase. Besides, these Ohio backroads are no good for sporty driving.
2003 Beetle, in the royal blue shade (I can never remember its proper name). I call it my Smurfmobile. I really really really want a Prowler.
Mr. Kat has a 2004 silver Mini Cooper, but is madly in love with the new Thunderbird.
2000 Nissan Frontier King-Cab. Silver. This is my third King-Cab from Nissan, and I just keep putting more and more miles on them. The first one died after 150,000 miles, two collions and 5 years of Alaska. The second died after 220,000 miles and me trashing the engine by running it with no coolant (NOT my fault…long story) and seizing the engine. This one will probably go over 300,000 miles if I can keep from doing something stupid.
The wife drives a '95 Buick Skylark that my Dad gave us.
My Dream Car is one that is paid for!
I don’t have a car. So I get from A to B by bus or train or ferry or taxi or simply by walking.
