BooFae, I’ll confess to having visions of Lady Godiva on hearing of a Godiva Festival … LOL you’d think my first thought would be of chocolate now, wouldn’t ya?! Glad that you all had a great time!
It’s still mild here, although temps are supposed to get back into the 90s today. No humidity (crosses fingers) until later this week, fortunately.

I’m up and caffienating. We’re probably not going to do much of anything today. We have leftovers from yesterday and will consume those for dinner tonight.
I think I’ll go cruise the next for awhile.
Cleanded up and appropriately attired for a festive Fourth of July celebration. Ok, it’s a tshirt from Old Naby that says “America Est. 1776 with liberty and justice for all” and has a flag on it. Complimented by white shorts and sneaks, I’d say it’s festive.

My morning complaint…
The people who run the facebook page for the township where I live are really, really lame. Not only do they not promote activities going on within the township, they’re running a really creepy set of ‘those who have gone on before us’ pictures. The one that just came across the news feed says something like: Tommy Smith, Class 77 heartattack. :rolleyes:
I hope that when I die that these people never find out and post something lame on their page.
Also, there’s a photo category of places to eat. There are only 4 pictures and they’re not even from anywhere IN THE FREAKING TOWNSHIP!!!
Ok, thanks, I feel much better now. Oh, and I guess we should all observe a moment of silence for poor Tommy Smith. :rolleyes::dubious::smack:
I’m heathenating, skipping Services at St. Bluegills.
Went to a pig roast last night, and had a blast.
I have declared today to be a day of sloth, and the most strenuous thing I have planned is finding fahrworks tonight.

Happy Sunday and July 4th, everybody! Hubby and son are off to the store, and our daughter is watching a Star Wars marathon. We won’t see her till 11pm tonight. We went to see fireworks last night, and we had to flat out tell her, “You’re going.”
We went to our local fireworks celebration: we heard Braden Gray and Crossin Dixon perform. I hadn’t heard of either one before, but they were fantastic. We took our comfy lawn chairs and table, had a picnic dinner and played Mahjongg. It was a lot of fun. Now I have sunburn. OWIE.
On the upside, BIL’s first day at his new job is July 9th. This means he will be moving out this week. I am so happy. Now we’ll get his worthless behind out from under our roof and he’ll have to take care of himself for the first time in his life.
Am up, have deheathenated and had enhanced leftover Chinese for lunch. (Made rice and also added a bunch of greenbeans to the leftover greenbeans.) Also, there was celery and carrots. Yum.

Little brother and nephew are still here for a while, then I’ll be celebrating at a friend’s.
Hope Dipsey gets to stay with you permanently,** Rebo**. (I agree that the previous periods of residence should count!)

I have left work, and are slothing and beering at the pool.
The Ox has been eaten and a good, but hot, time was had by all. I just woke up from a nap and was surprised that I hadn’t gotten more sun than I did. (I was a dope and left all of the sunscreen in the Party Van and we were in the Chicken Heart instead.)
BTW, rosie, very funny about the baby vans. Actually, it would be nice if it had baby vans because then they would be new and not a rusty old heap like this one! For instance it has year round ‘climate control’… The a/c doesn’t work and neither does the heat.

Still no sign of the ex-owners. Yay! I’m really not looking forward to the confrontation. I’m hoping that our complaint from Monday prompted a visit by the SPCA, and that we won’t have to see them at all. Wishful thinking, I know. There are much more dire cases in this huge city.
However, we’ve told them everything, and I’m sure it will go our way.
I made a Pecan Cream Cheese Pie, with a pecan coconut caramel topping. OMG it looks so good! I lightened it up by using Splenda instead of sugar, Cool Whip Free, Neufchatel cream cheese, and unsweetened coconut. You toast the pecans and coconut with butter, though! 
Grillin’ All American Burgers for supper. Mmm!

That’s the sound I’ll be makin’ when I explode from all the bbq, ribs and brunswick stew I et today. 
A good time was had by all. Much food and beerverages consumed. When we got back to da cave nappy poo time was had. Normally I would not consider that at 4:30 p.m. but today it was needed. I don’t think it’ll interfer with sleepin’ tonight at all. The weather today has been gorgeous. Another Goldilocks day! This shall not continue alas as a definite heat up is on the way this next week.
