I found a fun and funny website here.
Then shouldn’t it be Yellowrabbit? Sorry ----- old movie flashback. But I’m feeling much better now.
Yay for new babies and vacas!
I am very worried today about Tasha, our cat. She’s been hurt and is now at the vet, in shock. She has a bite/puncture wound, but I don’t know the extent of the damage.
Weather here is glorious–cool, sunny and dry. I say let UK suffer a bit from what we’ve had for the past 3 weeks. Sweat, Limeys, sweat! <evil laugh>
Okay, I usually get references like that…but that one I don’t.
Blurf. Off to work. Have a bad case of the donwannas.
Any idea of what got her?
Vet thinks a feral cat. TH thinks a fox. I think a fox would have killed her outright, as would the neighborhood coyote. I think possum, feral cat or raccoon (although that might have killed her, too). She escaped last night. I am sick with worry. Vet to call at noon with update.
{{{rigs and kitty}}}
Yay for new babeh! I go on vacation next week. Just another stay at home vacation, but no work is great!
Surprise! I’m at my favorite restaurant. I just don’t know how I ended up here. OK, yeah right.
Hugs for rigs.
Uh, I think I need a nap. I just ordered coleslaw (one of the most vile substances known to man) instead of cottage cheese.
Lots of hugs for rigs and her kitty. Hope the vet has good news for Tasha.
Bleeding is from the bladder, but urine tests are ok for bladder function. Vet doubts bladder rupture, but wants to keep her a few days to make sure. Huge bruise on her lower belly–size of 50 cent piece. Vet now thinks NOT feral cat fight, but Tasha got caught either by the top of chain link fence or wedged in between something that scraped and bruised her belly. He says no to puncture wound now, but I looked at it with him and could swear it was a bite. He has had her shaved there, though, so he has the better view. Subq fluids, antibiotics and sedation for the next 2 days.
I am more of a wreck now that I know all this. It’s not horribly news, but I’ve been keeping myself together and now that the waiting is over–I’m falling apart. I didn’t realize I loved my kitty this much…
Good kitty hugs. Hope all is well your putty.
I keep losing this MMP because of the sport name in the title, my brain refuses to see those things.
rigs prayers and good thoughts headed out to Tasha. It looks like she’s in very capable hands.
Dindin tonight (I’m sure y’all have been wanderin’) shall be cubed steak and gravy, green beans, rice, bizkits and some fresh 'maters and cucumbers. Really nice ‘maters and cukes at the farmer’s stand thingy just down the road this mornin’. Oh and I bought another canteloupe.
Ditto.
It’s 89 degrees. It’s ONLY 89 degrees. Last time we had a high below 90 degrees was June 5th, I believe. A-freaking-mazing.
I’m going to the dentist. I hate going to the dentist. It’s just a cleaning, and bridge adjustment, but… I hate going to the dentist. They always find something that hurts or will cost a ton of money.
Here I go… to the dentist. :(
picu me too! I hate hate hate goin’ to the dentist. Then again, I don’t suppose many of us wake up in the mornin’ and think, “Oh JOY! I get to go to the dentist today!” No offense to any dentists or relatives of dentists. I just have a dentist phobia.
Aw rigs, I hope Tasha heals well and quickly. Right before I left for my holiday one of my cats was looking awful…not eating and just generally looking like he didn’t feel well. I was so scared that when I took him to the vet I was gonna bring home a kitty to bury, he looked that bad. Turns out he had a bladder infection, and with an injections of super antibiotics and painkiller he spent a couple of days sleeping on my pillow. His appetite returned, and my kids tell me that he is looking and acting much more like his own self. I will be glad to give him scritches when I get home. I love that ornery cat.
I hate that sort of dream rosie, I’m sorry you had one.
Last night we went out for a fancy dinner, and I drank just a bit more than usual and got a little buzzed, it was fun! The meal was superlative, and such huge portions that I brought most of my meal back to Chris’ home. (the guy I am visiting, obviously) Tomorrow we go to Disneyland again, and we are spending the night at the Disneyland hotel. Yay! (I love Disneyland!) Friday we are supposed to go see some live music, and I don’t know what else he has on his mind for the rest of the week. I am loving the southern California weather, and when Chris says “Ask her about her run in with the bear” everyone, from acquaintances to restaurant servers and salespeople are enthralled and want to hear about Alaska. It amuses me, but I oblige, and it really is fun.
Oh, and he convinced me to get my but long hair cut off! It’s shoulder length with layers, and I had it colored just a bit lighter than my natural color, with lighter highlights. No more grey to look at!
Okay, now that I am awake I will close. I go home on Saturday, so behave while I go off to gallivant some more!
Glad you’re havin’ fun gallivantin’ kai! Everybody deserves a good gallivant every now and then I say!
Gotta finish makin’ dindin. I’s hongrified!
Later Y’all!
Oh no, not that again. ![]()
While going to the dentist isn’t one of my favorite things, I don’t hate it. Maybe because I’ve got a good dentist and good teeth - yay for dental genetics!
<---- good teeth The only thing I really hate is getting xrays - biting down on those little film holders invariably cuts the inside of my mouth.
Today was interesting at work - I thawed out a mega-frozen fridge. We took it out back and left the doors open. It seemed to be taking forever, then all of a sudden, I was able to break a chunk out. As more surfaces were exposed to the hot air, more chunks came loose. There was still some ice wedged in hidden places, but we had to bring it in because we had to go home. So I stuck a big ol’ wad of paper towels in the bottom, and tomorrow, I’ll take a couple of old towels in to finish cleaning it. Then we can skootch it back in place and plug it in. Yay for a clean freezer!
Other than that, I got nothing. Daughter is on her way home. I bought some Amish corn and cukes. Dunno what I’m going to make for supper - corn and cukes maybe?
Happy Tuesday. Vacation creeps slowly closer…
