I haven’t even seen the jersey yet it sounds cool.
I just explained to one of my coworkers (from my same agency) that for many companies, “we pay at 30 days” doesn’t mean “we pay 30 days after receiving your bill” or “we pay 30 days after the date of your bill”, it means “we pay once a month and we’ll pay you on the next payday after 30 days after receiving your bill”. Lucky guy, apparently he’d never seen one of those companies before.
I’m having one of those days when I have problems concentrating on anything. And I can’t even blame the weather, it’s been blindingly-shiny for over a week.
Depends on the company, I guess. I have a client that is set up that way, however, for some reason she still has a bill from February that she hasn’t paid me for yet despite my conversations with management, etc. I just think she likes messing with me. It’s like a little game. Let’s see which random bill I can neglect just to piss off Sticky. Ooh, wait, there’s a really old one. Yep, that will do. :rolleyes: Fortunately it’s only something like $77 so it’s not like it’s going to break the bank either way.

I think I was having weird dreams last night, but I’m not sure what they were. Lots to do today here at home and then off to TVLand. Hopefully sooner rather than later.
Congratulations, Puck! Errr…so Doggio was looking for something to do while there’s no hockey to watch…and Puck’s solution was to get engaged. Well, I think that is Doggio’s summer sorted out unless there’s something the two of them aren’t telling us?
I went to Fat Club last night, the new scales were kind to me and I’ve lost another pound which puts me under my target weight. If I lost more than another 2lbs, I will have to start paying them again or else turn up to get weighed with heavy clothes on and rocks in my pockets.
Spain won their match last night so they are taking me one step closer to winning something in the office sweepstake. My Spanish colleague here assures me that they will stomp all over Paraguay on Saturday so I am happy to take her word for it.
Rigs - sorry to hear about the poorly pussentat, I hope she makes a speedy recovery. My last cat, Orly, took on two foxes one night. I know because I heard the commotion outside and saw her chasing them off, apparently our urban foxes are scared of cats and won’t fight them unless it’s in very extreme circumstances. Mind you, Orly was best described as a ginger ball of spitting fury!
It’s less hot today, I’ve just been out to get some lunch. Campus is full of 'murrican music students. Pep bands, no less. Do I want to know?
Don’t know, Boo, it’s quarters… Spain seems to suffer from the Curse of Quarterfinals: whenever one of our teams manages to go past that in an international competition, local Bishops initiate an investigation to determine whether a guy responding to JC’s description was seen in the playing field.

A friend is comin’ over in a while for some pool time. Friend is the MOG from the big weddin’ and apparently she’s in need of the pool and frozen adult beverages so I shall oblige. Plus dindin tonight is burgers and fries so I told her to hang around for that. She’s fun to hang with so it’ll be good.
At least your country made it that far, Nava! My lot have already come limping home like the shower they proved themselves to be.

Congratulations, Hockey Monkey! So glad to hear that you’re having a grand time on vacay, kai; maybe these memories will help pull you thru the rest of the time on Kodiak. The petses sure do own a piece of our hearts, don’t they?!
Up, caffeinated, and at work! Although now I am drinking lemon ginger herb tea to settle my stomach. I stopped at the local farmer’s market yesterday and got some fresh summer squash, a cantaloupe, some peaches and a couple of maters. The peaches tasted wonderful though they’re a bit on the small side. Can’t wait to try to the squahs and the 'maters.
Happy hump day all - one more day after today for me, then woo hoo, 4 day weekend!! 
You stop paying a weekly fee once you reach your target weight, which I did last December. Once you’re there, you are allowed to be a maximum of 3lbs either side of that weight but if you go over that threshold then you have to pay the weekly fee again (or re-adjust your target to a lower level if you feel that’s appropriate).
Herbs - I haven’t forgotten your request, the pics of the fascinator should be done tonight or tomorrow if I can find the camera and the battery’s not flat.

The local good seafood place just reminded me that I’ll be older in a month. I got my certificate for my birthday dindin in the mail today. It’s good from my bday (7/29) until August 8th. Good for any entree up to 12.95 it says. Anything over that and one must pay the difference. Hmmm… how much “difference” shall I make OYKW pay when we go there for my bday?
Ima go to the pool now. MOG is on her way over. I must make up a batch of frozen fuzzy navels per her request. The things I do for friends!

Hurricanes press conference at 2:30 today with Rod, and then Rutherford later on. The day of reckoning has finally arrived …
There’s been enough off-ice activity lately to keep me busy until the season starts. Sure wish I’d been able to afford to go to Finland though. 
I had one of those dream within a dream within a dream dreams. The reoccuring theme was that I was sleeping and slept all day past 6pm when I needed to be at work. So I was dreaming about sleeping.
That would be great for the Alaskans helping us out with the oil spill on the Gulf Coast.

It’s thunderatin’ so we got out of the pool. MOG is changin’ and then I’m gonna help her with whatever it is she wants me to help her with re her notebook. The fun of wireless is I can get her set up in the dinin’ room and see what’s what.
Plus, in a while there’s burgers to grill and fries to fry.
