BLURF I have had no time to mump this week being the first and all. But the week has flown by and it’s already Thursday. Time really does fly when one is busy vice just goofing off.
It has finally, today, slowed down a little Thank God. I am so tired of people. Need the break. It will be short lived as June and July are our busiest months money wise.

I believe it was “facade”. I will confirm. She did tell me about that word in particular because some of her fellow contestants did not know what it was.
It was a “pop” spelling bee. 
They had pop spelling tests in every class in school. The students with perfect scores were told to go to the auditorium at 7th period and, ta-da, spelling bee. No prep time, no warning, there they were, having a spelling bee.
We are having an Orygun heat wave: 80 degrees with occasional sun! :eek: Back to normal tomorrow.

Overslept this morning because I got up twice with the dog.
I tried to tiptoe past him on the way to the pot but he heard me and woke up. Then he wanted to go out. I went to get my phone and laptop so I could irk in the kitchen and that fast he passed out on the deck. He got out in the yard and refused to come in, it’s chilly out and he was out there shivering and still refusing to come in.
I’m waiting for the vet to call me back to see if we need to change his dosage, and also to ask about feeding him. He is not eating enough and I think that is part of the problem.
Okay, vet just called me back, no adjustment to meds, and make sure he eats. It’s okay to make up a pot of rice to go with the chicken - I had just read that we’re not supposed to give rice to dogs because it has arsenic in it, not enough to hurt human adults, but not good for pets and babies. He said it’s not enough to hurt a dog, and I should have known better because the article kept referring to inorganic arsenic and I was thinking* is there any other kind?*
So I am going to add canned food to the water for the rice and see if that works to get some more food into the bratsy.
Then OAOASO sent a text. He does that every now and again. Of course he wants something. One favor I said yes, he can park his truck out back, as long as it has current tags on it. He had to move and lost that nice big driveway he used to have. It’s annoying because I asked him to tell me what time he is bringing it and of course I get no answer. I hate that kind of shit. I have things to do and want to be prepared in case I have to move my truck over. The other favor, he can kiss my ass, and I’m still not going to help him.
We had to turn the heat on today. I have been freezing all day. This week is supposed to be cold, with temps dipping down into the 30s at night.
So much for spring.
I’m debating between a short nap, a hot shower, or vacuuming the rug. If I had a decent bathtub I could do a short nap in a hot tub.

I’m fixing to settle into some soup after three hours in the dentist’s chair. I got the deep clean, a post put into a 40 year old root canal and a temporary crown on said tooth. It’s a front one and highlights the discoloration and chip on the other side, so that one is next.
I went to a job interview today. There were some piranhas and a schnauzer there. (Office work - not a pet store.)
Prianhas and a schnauzer?? Um, OK, is there a story to that??
We went out for not-too-terrible Chinese for supper and I’s full of shrimp & broccoli. Yum.
I also canceled and rebooked our cruise again, this time saving another $200, plus we get $50 credit onboard! So from our original booking, we’ve now saved over $300! Plus our cabin is on the 4th deck instead of the 3rd, so yay!
Dunno what I’ll be doing tomorrow - it’s going to be rainy - I may be forced to do chores indoors. The horror!!!

I am seriously pissed at my so called hubby. He told i can’t watch news. I think he is a secret Trump voter but he aint my daddy. I wiill find somewhere else to watch the news for a few days. I will not be owned. Bastard.
Two chores plus work tomorrow. Two and an amusement park Saturday. Two and an amusement park Sunday. One and work Monday. I really should look at my day-planner as more of a guide and less of a challenge.
Worked, came home. Only a short day tomorrow. 7 hours is a short day, right?

I just booked me a tropical cottage for the weekend with Louie and by god I will blast the news 24/7 if i want to. There is a tiki bar and full kitchen. I will not be owned. Even though it is only 25 miles up the road it will be perfect. There is a Songwriters Festival this weekend or i would have stayed in KW. Nothing available. Except on base and I spend enough time there already. Now i am really looking forward to the weekend.
My niece lives close and as luck would have it she just opened another bar/restaurant last weekend. I shall check out the new place.
What happened? Why the news ban? Is he planning a heist for the weekend or something?
On the plus side, you get a weekend away and you need some time off. Enjoy your cottage. I am jealous.

Just an asshole I guess. Usually he won’t watch anything but news or weather but declared today that he was sick of it and turn it off like I am a child. I will not put it with being treated that way. I live here too and I own half the house and I work a full time job and pay bills. Once my mini vacay weekend is over i will kick his ass out. I am too old to have anyone trying to be my daddy or own me. Now if it had been a movie he’d say"what are you watching" with palpable distaste as movie watching is a waste of time as is reading a book. You’d think after over 33 years he’d have figured it out by now.
It’s been raining all night long. I managed to sleep in an extra hour, but Higgs woke me by barking. So she’s been tended to and I’m chilling till my day has to begin. **FCD **is sleeping in - he’s already clocked 41 hours this week and he still has to go to the office today. He’s not happy about going to San Antonio, but he’s the only person in the company with production management experience of the type they need. They’ll be cycling him there with the 2 bosses above him, so he may have to go back if they can’t straighten the place out.
I don’t know all the details, but as an example: “Well we ordered the part, and we received it, but we don’t know where it is. It might be in Sigonella, it might be in Afghanistan…” WTF??? 
How can a company expect to be profitable and successful if they can’t handle their own in-house supply chain?? So my poor sweetie is in for a challenge.
