Micky, Davy, Peter or Mike?

Ladies?

Sorry, not a lady.

What’s the criteria?

As a fan, I liked Mike Best…

I always liked Mickey. He was cute with that ingratiating dimpley grin and had a nice singing voice. I especially loved it when he quit straightening his hair and went with the 'fro.

Sorry, not a lady, either. But I’m a Monkees fan and collector.

Micky. He was funny, got a lot of the best songs to sing, and he could sing his ass off! Really high up in register, and on-key, too. Of the four, he also seems like he’d be the most friendly to hang out with. Mike was dry and moody and temperamental, Davy was completely self-absorbed and sometimes obnoxious despite his acting and comedic timing abilities. Peter was The Invisible Monkee, and didn’t project much personality.

Also, Micky came up with the title of “Frodis” for marijuana; e.g.: “If the cops come, frodis out the window!”

Micky. Davy was too perfect, so he was uninteresting. Mike was too aloof, and seemed so much older than the others. Peter was always so sweet and dreamy, but he would have bored me. Micky was funny, and interesting, and dorky. He didn’t seem to take anything seriously, but he was always there so you knew he kind of did.

Mike. There was one scene in the show, can’t remember what song they were playing, where they pan up from his hands to his face, and he looks into the camera and gives a little wink, and I MELTED. Definitely Mike. Plus I sort of think he’s aged the best of them.

Mike. I liked his little hat.

Peter. Because he seemed so sweet and serious and shy and he really looked like he needed a good snuggle.

Mickey would be my second choice.

I once launched one of my sister’s Davy Jones solo albums like a frisbee across our bedroom. It landed behind the old steam radiator, too scratched to play any more. Ooh, that got her mad. And I don’t regret it for a single second :stuck_out_tongue:

Mike. I donned a stocking cap for about 6 months (well, it was winter in Michigan) in his honour.

I was a big fan of Peter.

Peter Tork’s hair was probably the main attraction when I watched the boys in the sixties. I loved floppy, Beatles-style hair. I always thought of Mickey as “Circus Boy,” which left him stuck in my mind as an obnoxious child. Davy had a great accent, but not much else. Upon re-viewing the series as a middle-aged broad, I find that Mike is now the most attractive to me (except for the wool hat).

If it’s a one time thing then Mickey. If I have to marry him then I better pick Mike.

Mike.

I didn’t have a favorite until I saw the scene where one girl kisses all of them – kind of a “who’s the best kisser” thing, IIRC. I don’t remember who won, but Mike’s kiss seemed the hottest to me (which surprised me). He was my favorite from that moment on!

I had a crush on Peter many years ago. He was very sweet, and he had lovely hair.

Mike for me.

When I was watching it as a kid, Davy. Yes it was the accent.

Nowadays, Mike. Given that he’s proven to be the only one with any signifigent creative talent…wit…intelligence…and an actually career that meant he did partisipate in countless Monkees reunioun tours.

Mickey. Now and forever!

“Frodis out the window?” Hysterical! Never heard that one!

BTW, folks, Micky’s first name is e-free.

‘E-free Dolenz’?

:stuck_out_tongue:

I thought his first name was George?
