Some of you already know that I co-run a children’s musical theatre workshop program. We are just wrapping up our 12 week musical theatre production class (kids ages 4 to 14) and are putting on a three act children’s operetta based on the Jack and the Magic Beanstalk fairytale. Basically, it’s like G&S for kids, fun for all ages, complete with tapdancing cow, magic tricks, lots of singing and dancing, and humor that both kids and parents will enjoy!
The kids are adorable (especially our fearsome pirates, who all stand under 3ft6), the voices are solid, and it’s just an all around cool little play. The shows are:
Tuesday, May 3
Thursday, May 5
Thursday, May 12
Friday, May 13
… at 7:30pm and will be performed at the Living Waters Christian Church in Hopkins.

Just thought I’d pass on the info, I’m very proud of our little tykes. If this had been a grown-up show, I wouldn’t have posted… but hey… it’s for the wee ones. I’ll be sittin’ at the piano with Pirate (my aussie puppy). Valen, my toller, is a Pirate, and Zap, the aussie, is a police dog. Kids, dogs, all on stage… recipe for disaster or total cuteness overload…
We originally moved this thread out-of-sight while we discussed it. But hey, we’re not heartless (some of us don’t even mind kids at all), so we’ve decided to help out and s-l-i-g-h-t-l-y bend policy a bit this one time by restoring the thread.
In the future (and this applies to everyone, not just Elenfair), please remember what the Registration Agreement states:
No matter how worthy you think a cause (charity, etc…) is, a Moderator or Administrator needs to be asked before you post a thread advertising it. We’ll gladly look over and consider any request you send our way. Otherwise, the thread will be removed and a worthwhile cause will have lost an outlet here.
