Mine is a very niche, but quite boring, misinterpretation. There is a circle of subreddits that modify comics, and when someone forgets to include the original comic the new one is based on, someone used to always say “original?” But that got old so now, the done thing is to use some uncommon word that starts with “o” and has more than 2 syllables. At first it was “oregano” because it looks closest to “original”, but now any long “o” will do. Now, some of those words are in turn ruined for me. So I am starting to read Exercise for osteoporosis as “Exercise for original? What does that even mean?”
I believe I am now suffering from what the kids these days would call “brain rot.”
