I assume that it is a spinoff of Welcome to Wrexham about a soccer team in a place called Derry, most likely the one in Northern Ireland.
OK so I’ll be the one who mentions that this one IS “Columbia”.

Now that’s funny.
Being in Miami I think of the nearby country about 50 times for each time I think of the distant river.
And I try to think of DC as little as possible recently but even then I tend to think “DC”, not the words the initials stand for.
That you of all Dopers chose to ping me is especially … something. Thank you.

Service men with “estimates”. This is super shady right?
I read “service” as a command to service men, with “service” meaning the livestock sense. Which would make sense if it were a service owner telling his new employee what to do to their customers with non-free estimates.
Or Derry Girls, the hilarious Irish Catholic schoolgirls series.
Good King Win–chechfllllkisss–ess?!?!##*”:?
I assumed this was a chess thread and went in to report it for a forum change to the Game Room, when I realized it was about a Christmas carol. I mean, “good king” (as in white, right?) “win”, and “chech” looks like “check”–I thought I’d see one of those mindbending chess puzzles, likely with a paradox involved or something, hence Bec’s exasperation trying to figure out how to checkmate the bugger.
It’s a Wonderful Life - Do you like it or not?
I’m glad it’s wonderful for you, I’m about over it.
I keep seeing this one
I’ve always been a bit fascinated by the DB Cooper case. Mostly that many of the possible suspects had experience in parachuting and/or military intelligence work. But in my opinion skydiving out of an aircraft on a cold, rainy night in late November, over a very heavily wooded area seems very amateurish. Not the planned work of an experienced professional. But I digress. What I really wonder is, what would Cooper have done with the money had he survived the jump? What do other kidnappers an…

Can this overcooked roast be saved?
Yes, if the overcooked roast recites the Sinner’s Prayer at the back of the tract.
That about sums it up!
Wireless meat thermometers from Cafe Society gave me a short period of puzzlement trying to figure out how and why you’d make a thermometer out of meat. Perils of reading the forum while tired…

Bad, bad, bad Hair… Long beautiful hair. Hair!
With the recent “Movies that at least 1 person hates” thread now in my mind, I thought the above one was riffing on the Broadway musical/film…
I’d be surprised if the OP didn’t have that in mind.
Just think about something really boring…
I’m sorry to hear about the problem that Major Verizon is having with his wireless service.
Worried well or data hunger gone crazy
I could not figure out what this meant. I thought it was a choice between a deep well full of data, which worries people, or a serious lack of data that was making people nuts. Maybe something to do with AI?
For sure that one makes a lot more sense if you are already familiar with the industry buzzword noun phrases “worried well” and “data hunger”. If those combos are new to any reader, then yeah, they’re gonna struggle with where to chop the sentence apart for parsing.
So what does it mean? I’m not familiar with either of those phrases.
