I recall a comic in Dragon magazine years ago; it showed a guy in front of a vast herd of reindeer saying “I used to be a thief, until I found a magic ring and made a wish for a million bucks.”
Any chance the man wished for the attentions of doe-eyed females?
Seems more like they’re supposed to be bucks. I’m not recalling a genie joke about a guy wishing for 5 bucks, but it wouldn’t be hard to create one.
There is at least one joke about deer that plays off the expression “blow a few bucks.”

Yep, definitely ‘a million bucks’, or ‘big bucks’ or something with ‘bucks’.
I had though “a lotta dough (does)” but the bucks ones make a lot more sense.
