Hey everyone! {{{hugs}}} yays and boos to those who need them. Life here is still sucking, and it just gets worse, particularly with regard to the horrible, evil, soon-to-be (hopefully) ex. There is now a dv incident, complete with a restraining order (against me, just because he beat me to the courthouse by minutes, the jerk,) and now he doesn’t want to sign the dissolution papers just to get under my skin further. Gah, as if that is possible. It’s a good thing I have only two years until The Boy graduates and we (the two younger kids, if they want to, and I) can get the hell out of this place and go home.
So, I am rather depressed over this and all the other not-so-trivial stuff going on. I have one secret coming “sometime” which will help me get back to Washington (the state) so that is a good thing. Also Jess, Randy and the grandbabies are moving back to Kodiak this month for two years so they can stay between the four parents and will be able to put some money away so that they can leave the state as well. Jess and I will have lived here for the last 21 years come April, and along with Naomi (daughter #2) who is already back home we are all heartily tired of Alaska. It is a stunning place to visit, it sucks to live here.
Grandbabies, if I can drag myself out of this funk today Iwill get some photos up and share them. Tea is 2 1/2, weighs 26 lbs and is the classic textbook Terrible Two! She’s still my angel baby, and she fills my heart with joy when she squeals “Gamma” and throws herself into my arms. She is completely potty trained (sorry Dotty) but insists on being accompanied and must be completely nekkid in order to go potty. She also likes to go frequently, even if she has just a tiny tinkle, but considering HRH’s laundry load I won’t be complaining anymore about dressing, undressing, and re-dressing Tay-Bear! Toren is 6 1/2 months, he was born two years and four days after his sister. He weighs 22 lbs and is not fat! He looks just like his sister, and they both look mostly like their mother. They are gorgeous kids, and they make me happy. Tea loves Wow Wow Wubzy on tv, which I do not, but Oobie is pretty cool, and she has learned to sing the “What’s Gonna Work? Teamwork!” when she is helping out with picking up toys, etc.
I am co-writing what I hope will turn into a fabulous bestseller. (Hey, if I am gonna dream, I might as well dream big.) It’s geared to the Twilight crowd, only with intelligent writing and a big nod to Lovecraft. There will be no sparkly monsters, there will be tentacles! There will be romance, but if we lose the little girls who sigh over Edward (urp) and Bella (blech) I hope we lure in some nerdy boys who like a bit of sci-fi to balance out a bit of snogging.
So, there ya’all go, my current life in a nutshell. Where is my faery godmother?
