Modern Family 11/7/2012

Oh, that would have been funny!

The 3:00 a.m. phone calls to start the show were classic.

That shiv joke at the end and Luke’s, “We cool?” had me in stitches.

Manny: Who wants to go to The Spoken Word Festival this evening? I only have two tickets so somebody is going to be disappointed.

Jay: I think it’s gonna be you.

Manny: I can’t believe this, I’m living in a cultural wasteland.

Jay: With a heated pool.

Hilarious, a real eerie Oooooweeeeaaaah.

DeeDee: I thought I’d swing by and pick up that photo album.

Jay: I’ll meet you on the street. Drive slow and have the window open.

“Oh, Luke, that’s supposed to have the opening in the back.”

“No way. I don’t want people seeing my butt.”

“Yes, that’s what I do. I defend pandas in court.”

Yeah, he was almost out of character, instead of Claire being the heavy.

Another great line from Jay: “If you had a husband that wanted to go shopping for strollers, you wouldn’t be pregnant.”

Naw, he was just out of waffles.

“That’s adorable.”

I found Haley’s expulsion from college a little unrealistic. If colleges expelled every student who got busted for underage drinking, they would have very few students.

She didn’t get busted for drinking, she got busted for assaulting a police officer. That, along with not attending classes, lying on her application as well as the drinking, landed her an expulsion. Not that far fetched.

Remember, she was climbing down the ladder, the cop yelled “Raise your hands!” so she let go and landed on him.

Yes, that poster was a gift from Dylan to Haley a few seasons ago. Phil at first complimented Dylan on being such a good artist, but when he admitted it was a photo, Phil got a little pissed off.

It’s always great to see DeeDee and Gloria together. “The baby just kicked like it’s trying to escape…Bruja!”

Not knowing their mascot didn’t help her any. “Go Wildcats!”

Assauling an officer & lying on her application being the most serious. Not attending classes would just mean she flunks out, which isn’t the same as expulsion. Underage drinking would normally get her a fine, and some mandatory counseling. Lying on her application? For that she’d be lucky she was invitied to apply to come back in a year.

I thought that too but remembered when the girls lied to Phil about cleaning the bathroom and once a line was crossed he got tough.

Didn’t she also mention that she may have broken the rule about not dating instructors? Maybe more than once?

Haley’s had a busy six weeks!

Correct me if I’m wrong, but if a T.A. was in a sexual relationship with an undergrad, wouldn’t the T.A. get fired (and probably expelled)?
