Really, all three plot lines were solid.
I thought it was odd that Cam and Mitch wouldn’t have called Jay and Gloria to find out if they were going to Pictionary night or not, regardless of the invitation. I also found it odd that they would leave that mess sitting out. But that was my favorite plot line.
“You know, most Parents would be thrilled to have a Goody-Two-Shoes for a son.”
“Don’t they have an alarm?”
“Please.”
“Let the bee out so it can go back to its cave.”
“It’s not about you, it’s treasure chest!”
No one wants to comment on Haley’s dancing ability? Although she was fun to watch (so was Phil), isn’t she a little small to be on a major dance line?
Also isn’t Alex about two sizes bigger than Haley? If she borrowed Haley’s sweater, I think it would be tighter on her (and probably look better on her than it would on Haley, but maybe I shouldn’t think about such things on a actor who is a minor).
And, of course, Alex and Luke were “bothering” them with their studying. Funny!
Maybe I’ve never noticed it happening before, but none of the families interacted directly in the stories. I felt like I was waiting for that to happen. Cam and Mitchell screwing up at gymnastics was great comedy. I loved the setup for the dismount, obvious what was going to happen, but they did it well anyway. And Manny’s poems, and then “Somehow she’ll find a way to make it all about her”.
I think that was the whole point- it was about as ridiculous as anybody could imagine that she would even think it was a good idea to audition to be a Laker girl.

Is it just me, or has Sarah Hyland developed a bit more this season? Physically I mean. I know she had a kidney transplant last year - I wonder if that improved her health and let her put on a few pounds in strategic places.

Is it just me (actually, I know it’s not just me because my wife commented on it first), but was Haley looking rather chesty in this episode? I guess that helps if you’re going to be a Laker girl, but they seem to have sprung up out of nowhere.

Hmm, both I and the boyfriend think that the “giant sweater/small girl” look would have worked a lot better on Haley, with that particular sweater.
I loved this episode. Especially the crazed dads bit. I know my dad was always frayed at the edges like that at the end of every family vacation.
That’s not nearly as odd as them sending out written invitations to game night in the first place. :dubious:
I’ll bet Cam spent days making those invitations.
We watched this on the DVR last night and as soon as the episode was over, the first thing my wife said was “So when Jay and Gloria and Manny were breaking into people’s houses, where was the baby?” Heh, I hadn’t even thought of that.
The only thing that bugged me was that Gloria not only checked the briefcase twice but when she checked it the second time she magically put the whole thing together.
