Sofia Vergara and Jennifer Tilly in the same room together? Aggggghhh, the television is torturing me by showing me my wildest dreams! So close and yet so far!
“Gift of the vagi” – Cam you’re so pleased with yourself, aren’t you?

Good thing I wasn’t drinking, because that line caused a spit take. I LOL’d several times. The zingers really zing.
Couldn’t quite believe that Claire left her daughter in the middle of nowhere though.
Did Jennifer Tilly always have those boobs?
I don’t like the eps in which Phil is portrayed as a bumbling idiot. But at least that storyline had a nice ending.
But Cam was the undisputed star of this ep. Great interaction among him and his lady friend and Mitch.
And I think my brain is suffering from breast overload. Sometimes I wish I were a straight guy.
Yeah, “Gift of the Vagi” indeed!
Yes. Yes, she did.
One of their best episodes. One of the few times I really liked the interplay between Cam and Mitchell as well.
“There was talk of me going Gerber…”.
Chazz Palminteri has really aged, but it was great to see him reunited with Jennifer Tilly.
For research, check out Bound. Although her boobs have definitely gotten bigger, and it appears other parts of her have as well. Not that I’m complaining…
I love how we were treated to an upside-down-Tilly-cleavage shot when she was on the dance floor. The producers of this show are definitely breast-happy.
I loved when Cam’s extremely hott new girlfriend was listing all of the stereotypical things about him that had told her he was gay, and he was getting set to lecture her on how offensive that was to him, but when she mentioned how they could watch Julia Roberts’ movies together, he certainly changed his tune.
(The actress who played Cam’s new Gal Pal looked a lot like a younger, even more attractive version of Kristen Wiig)
That wasLeslie Mann. She’s in a lot of Judd Apatow flicks (they’re married) and was also the female lead in The Cable Guy, where they met.
She was the girl that pukes on Steve Carell in The 40 Year Old Virgin, and Paul Rudd’s wife in Knocked Up.
Very entertaining episode, start to finish. Always nice to see Jennifer Tilley vamping it up, which is her speciality, after all. Mitchell giving Jay a pill to loosen him up at the club was a nice touch too.
MPB, Cam’s girlfriend was played by Leslie Mann– took us the whole episode to place her, but she’s been in tons of stuff.
ETA: Damn. Bob Ducca beat me to the Leslie Mann answer.
I though it was a little weaker overall but the scene with Cam and his gal pal at the door was funny and Phil’s treehouse conversation with his ‘new’ neighbor was nice.
And Gloria with a little lighter colored hair was even younger-looking still. Man, that woman is ALWAYS stunning.
Thanks—I did see “The 40 Year Old Virgin” (that’s the only one of her movies I am familiar with) so maybe that’s where I remember seeing her from.
In her IMDB photos she doesn’t look much like Kristin Wiig, but she sure had a strong resemblance on last night’s Modern Family, at least to me.
A very attractive woman…
Manny is a great dancer!
One of their better episodes, made even better by the fact that they didn’t try to shoehorn in a unifying theme and weren’t afraid to split the show into 4 plots with fewer cast members interacting in each. It made it feel more true to life for me.
Cam obviously stole the show, but the tree house plot was solid with great confessionals:
Phil: When he said that it really made me think. Who was I building the tree house for?
<cut>
Luke: Sometimes I just say, “Are you dad? Are you?” cause then he gets real quite and I can walk away without him noticing.
Andre was awesome and I loved how he called out to his wife like a little boy calling out to his mom, “The dude in the tree is cool!”
ETA: Was this the second straight episode without Alex? We haven’t seen her much since the first 2 or 3 episodes.
I was pleasantly surprised that they didn’t make that a whole B story line with (predictably) Jay being high for hours before finding out all he’d taken was aspirin. Kudos.
“You haven’t really been using ‘Dear College’ for all those essays, have you?”
I am left smiling after every episode. This show consistently cheers me up.
No, no complaints whatsoever.
One of the best episodes ever. You have to give this show your undivided attention, lest you miss a clever one-second exchange:
Jay: “Don’t ask”
Mitch: “Don’t tell.”
mmm
Phil: “This country was built with nails.”
Luke: “So was that gazebo you made.”
and…
Manny: “You’re dancing, not invading Poland.”
mmm

“I know her and she’s just as nice as she seems!”
Yeah, that was hilarious!
