“You would have died.”

“A hero.”

He nearly whispered it. I had to play it four times to catch what he said.

I actually had a friend tell me that once- in those words. Made me do a double take.

I couldn’t quite understand what he had done. Something about a hang glider and geese… did anybody catch it?

My favorite Luke moment: “Are you Dad? Are you?”

The Haley plot was the weakest link, but watchable.

I hope Cam and his new friend go to her cousin’s wedding together.

Claire complained about the time he bought a hang glider w/o asking her. He said that he was going to use it to lead a flock of geese to the wetlands. Much like this story the movieFly Away Home was based on.

If he’d been allowed to have the hangglider the geese would have made it home. No, he’d have died. Died a hero.

The implication being that he’d have lead a flock of geese on their migration, a la Fly Away Home

Strong episode, I thought.

I loved the exchange between Phil and his neighbour - “Hi. Did you just move in?”
“We’ve been here eight years. You?”
“12 years.”

and
“Do you have a level?”
“I did - I think I threw it into your yard.”

And all natural!

“Didn’t my 3rd grade teacher say I had ADD?”

“No, she said you COULDN’T A-D-D. And she said it like that because you couldn’t S-P-E-L-L.”

“Wait, slow down…”

That exchange was right up there with “offensive line”

“Sometimes I think you’re not even listening to me”
(I never asked, she just would’ve said no)

I thought that was pretty clever.

“You’re the whole package, and I just prefer someone who has one…”

I lost it.

Good episode: “Wham, Bam, Thank you Cam!”

Is it just me or does Hayley look really different this season? It’s like her head is a different shape or something.

I noticed that too. I think the rest of her head just caught up with her adolescently large eyes.

googles Jennifer Tilly

Bonnie Swanson, that’s why her voice sounded familiar.

I’m stoked that they had Kevin Hart in this episode. Hopefully they have him more often, as I love everything he does.

She was also in Bullets Over Broadway as the talentless actress and mistress of a Mafia boss who bankrolls a play for her to star in. Chazz Palminteri, who played her husband last night, was nominated for an Oscar for playing her bodyguard (a mob soldier who finds he has a talent for tweaking troubled plays) in that movie.

I liked the gay friend’s “Where’d Cam go?” when he untucked his shirt and ran his fingers through his hair to be more ‘butch’.

The actress who plays Haley is good, but since her character’s about to start college she’d be by far the easiest member of the cast to get rid of, so I wonder if she’s planning on leaving the show.

Not that actors and actresses always make smart decisions (see Caruso, David) but this would have to be one of the dumbest career decisions the girl could make. At best, she’s got a future doing whatever the next Scary Movie-type franchise comes along.

The only way it makes sense is if the actress is really leaving to go to college, as she will probably need a fallback skill when she can no longer pass for a teenager.

  • read David Caruso, mind processed David Carrodine.
  • Anna Faris parlayed Scary Movie into a pretty solid movie career

It pays her bills and she should live comfortably. There are worse jobs for actors/actresses (like waiting tables or starring in SyFy movies-of-the-week). And she’s getting new work, so best of luck to her (Faris). However, graduating from spoofs into a full-fledged movie career isn’t something to bank on (not that there is anything wrong with ‘take the money and run’ acting career).
