I like how they continued with Shorty being ambiguously gay, complimenting the shoulders of another man at the salsa club.
That’s Phil’s neighbor, right? I turned to my son and said “hey, the guy who fought with the 40-Year-Old Virgin’s friend Jay when they got all ‘street’ with each other!” He’s pretty short, right? What else can you point me to that he has done? I loved how patient his character was with Phil as he (Phil) tried to get his lingo down…
And yeah, loved the episode all around even though the thought of Claire leaving her daughter some random place is a non-starter, it was easy to move past…
Tilly was also nominated for an Oscar for that movie. It’s the only nod either of them has had, but their co-star Dianne Wiest walked away with the gold that night (her second).
Tilly is also one of the few actresses whose sister (Meg, for Agnes of God) is also Oscar-nominated.
She’s also a champion poker player I believe. Talk about a pair.
