Hi, this is Andygirl dictating to Matt. Well, I had a very special afternoon. I accidentally told Matt that I would be arriving on the train. [[ It doesn’t help that the bus and train stations are both called Gare Centrale. - MM ]] In reality I was arriving on the bus and spent an interesting hour wondering if I was going to be surrounded by a bunch of people who did not speak the French I learned in high school. Fortunately he found me and we are now rejoicing in Matt’s lovely gay room. He is more fabulous than I even imagined. [[ Oh, honey, stop it. -MM ]]
I’m afraid I’m out. Sorry, kids. I’m especially sorry to miss the Dynamic Duo. Andy, tell Matt how FABulous I am, and Matt, I’m making a Montreal trip the weekend of the 17th if you’d care to go booging or something.
We had babysitter and general chaos problems and almost didn’t make it… but I’m sure glad we were able to go!
We met Matt, Laurange and Andygirl at a cozy little bar with a fireplace and really nice couches. It was, for Dyan and I our first time meeting online friends, and we were very impressed by the calibre of these folk.
Sadly, we had to leave early, (our impromptu babysitter had a wifely curfew) and just as things were starting to get good …

It’s true! Gay people try to convert and corrupt innocent youth… They took me to a drag show and andy hit on me and was trying to bring out my repressed homosexual side!
After much fussing around with travel plans, I did end up spending Saturday night in Montreal … so I could almost have met up with you guys, except that I didn’t clear Customs until 11:30 pm, which is why I stayed in Montreal. (Too late to catch the train.)
I hadn’t read this thread in a week, but I did end up on Crescent Street, oddly enough. A place called “The Crescent Club”, I believe. [A little basement club, so they charge too much for cover (or maybe all Montreal clubs are expensive? I thought $6 to get in seemed a bit steep…) and the drinks are expensive. However, I had a good time.] Anyway, even more interesting, there was a guy there who looked just like matt_mcl. So I’m debating going over to talk to him, and the DJ starts talking about how gay he was, which didn’t help me much. but then I catch that his name is Gil, so I fugure it must not be, but … it was eerie.
Anyway, sounds like it was a blast. Get those pictures up! (And I should be having some time off in April…)
And you know, she begged me to go. She claimed she was worried and too shy to meet you. Now I have visuals of her up on stage at this car race (joke, I heard) dancing like a showgirl (or showguy, or what ever. Oww, my brain hurts).

When I first saw this thread, I thought of driving up for it, but the timing was bad. Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun – I wish I could have made it.
