There is a new Vin Diesel movie trailer playing on TV for some new…creation…called Babylon AD. I do not care about the movie, but the violin music playing is very awesome and something I’ve heard before but cannot place. Can anyone tell me the name of the piece?

It’s from the soundtrack/score of “Requiem For A Dream”, composed by Clint Mansell. I’d have to go dig out the disc to remember the specific title of that particular track. It’s been used in a ton of trailers since RfaD came out.

It’s actually a special remix made for the LOTR: Two Towers trailer, and put on a CD called “Requiem for a Tower” due to demand for it.
Well there you go. Learn something new every day. Now that I go and listen to my RfaD CD, I can certainly hear the difference.
