I’ve posted previously of the recent drama of my life. We decided last Monday to take the plunge, our house was not under contract, we didn’t have the money to pay the power bill and it was do or die time. We decided to move this weekend. We’ve rented the truck, rounded up the help, all that stuff.
We’ve been having several showings a day on our house, but nothing has stuck. Wednesday, I got a call from my Realtor, we have a showing. Great, my house is ripped apart, trying to move quickly, whatever. We are outta here.
The guy adores my house. He is a cash buyer. He wants to close on it Friday the 13th because he thinks it is lucky. He doesn’t want an inspection, he would like to take a walkthrough, but I was assured by his Realtor, this is a done deal, the man is buying my house. There are now 4 people that want to be notified immediately if our close does not go through. The title company has a mobile closer that will come to our house in North Carolina to do the closing.
I’ve craigslisted a bunch of stuff, which has given us some much needed cash.
Today, we are doing the final packing up of stuff and cleaning, tomorrow, we get the truck, load it and will head out Sunday morning. We will be home by Sunday evening.
There won’t be internet for a while, if our house sells, it will be about 2 weeks, if it doesn’t, who knows.
Anyway, I’m pretty much done with my computer. It needs to get packed up and I have a lot to do.
If any of ya’ll have a spare moment, please wish me luck, say a prayer, make an offering, cross your fingers or hell, just wish that the hell that we have been through is coming to an end.
Monday morning, when I wake up in my mountain house, perched on the side of the second highest peak in Georgia, I’ll be drinking a strong cup of coffee and watching the sunrise from my kitchen window.
FYI, it is getting above freezing on Sunday, so I don’t even have to worry about driving on ice! YAY!
Bye for a while.
