You should remember that the whole point of gay activism was for toleration and civil rights.

Why do you keep talking about gay people?

That street is two way and an increasing intolerant gay population pushing their minor children as pawns into attending Catholic schools just to create later lawsuits and other pushy publicity stunts aren’t going to help gay rights in the long run. It’s actually quite detrimental.

Why are you obsessed with gay people?

You aren’t going to take down the Church and continuously trying to do so might end up in an American version of what India just did if that lobby pisses off enough people and keeps striving for thought-crime penalties on the other 98%.

If only we can keep it from being hijacked and sidetracked in the way this one was, which seems to be doubtful on* this *board.

Imo, in person I have yet to see gays hijack every single conversation or discussion of faith, politics or anything else to make every single participant talk about gays’ sex lives. Only internet gays do that. It has even crossed my mind that many gay posters are keeping being gay and annoying others in the public lime light just to make everyone so sick of hearing about it that we all vote it down. At the least, it wouldn’t surprise me if I found out that was true.

But internet gays seem to need to take every single subject across the board and use those threads as vehicles to try to force all readers to pat them on the head.

I do find that narcissistic and annoying.

The Protestors simply have 95 reasons to not be Catholic, most of which are no longer at issue. Seems a reconciliation is long over due and I sense opportunity in our new Pope.

I’d be happy to debate with atheists … I’m interested in why they fight against religion. I think it’s already clear an atheist would want full legal protection for homosexuals. But debate is more than just one side attacking the other, so please, lets’ work towards consensus.

Because it’s factually wrong, dangerous, destructive, and won’t leave unbelievers alone. The believers constantly, relentlessly harass unbelievers and try to force their beliefs into law; and then act all puzzled when people resent it.
