I agree when it comes to someone you’re casually seeing. I’ve done that more than a few times to some random dude, and they sometimes get all weird about it and leave multiple angry/pleading voicemails and stuff, and I never can understand what purpose would be served by explaining to someone you met 3 weeks ago why you’re just not that into them.
But the OP apparently was living with her boyfriend. That’s way different! At some point of course you owe the person an explanation.
It sucks to not have closure, but that’s the way that guy is. Be glad you found out now, not when it’s too late.
Assuming he’s 18 as well, you don’t need him to tell you the reason. I’ll tell you the reason: He wants to bone other chicks.
Is there anyone out there that doubts this is the reason?
choochoo - Just be prepared for him to try to come crawling back, just as you’ve gotten your feet back under you. And don’t let him back in your life! If he did this to you once, he’ll do it again. If he doesn’t care enough about you to at least talk over your problems and to just bail, he isn’t worth your tears.
