I think my dog is weird. He absolutely LOVES a spanking on his hind-area (that part of his lower back right before where his tail starts). I can literally spank him pretty much as hard as I can, over and over, until my hand is red and tingly, and he just wants more! He looks up at me, tail wagging, sometimes even moves his rump right up against me, when I stop. It’s quite insane! Is my dog a masochist or something!?
How did I discover this? Well, I guess I just started out giving him light little pets and scratches and stuff on his lower back, then a few friendly light spankings and noticed he really liked it. Slowly ramped up the pressure and speed and strength until just now I realized that I was spanking as hard as I would actually spank someone/something if I was spanking for disciplinary reasons (I don’t regularly practice disciplinary spanking though). I’m a little curious how much harder I could actually spank him before it began to hurt him… and by that I mean I am wondering if I would actually even be able to physically do it! He just seems to love it the harder and faster I spank. And yes, I realize how weird this all must sound so please forgive me for the very weird subject matter.

Not a dog, but we once had a cat (Siamese) who really appreciated a good walloping. We were advised by a vet that it’s not all that unusual, but not to carry to too far lest we cause kidney damage.
I’ve met lots and lots of dogs that like some booty smacking. Scratches, too. It’s a technique I use when taking their temperature while their owners hold them for me. The owner is amused and the dog is distracted enough I can get that rectal temp without a fight.
Hmm. My ex-boyfriend’s dog (who still lives with me for the time being), absolutely hates it and thinks she’s in trouble, at even the lightest spanking.
Was she with him since she was a puppy? Dogs that have been physically disciplined, especially hit with hands as puppies, would have difficulty finding pleasure from anything resembling being hit for discipline. Is she hand shy at all?
Not my dog, but I’ve had five cats in my life and four of them would like to be spanked pretty much non-stop. If I spank one of the two I have now the other one will come running from wherever he is in the house. My hand stings and I get tired long before they want me to cease.
I don’t spank my dog. But he loves a good game of kick the puppy. All my jeans have holes around the ankles. I have to wear steel plated boots. One time someone came up behind me and said, “I hope you’re not hurting that dog.” I stood up and looked at her. Right then Chuck nailed me right in the nuts. As I doubled over I muttered through clenched teeth, " That dog can take care of his self!"
No she was a rescue, probably abused before he got her honestly. I agree with your diagnosis of that being the reason why she doesn’t enjoy a “fun” spanking like other dogs evidently do.
Heh, whenever my cats get into something they’re not supposed to be into, I wave my had back and forth real fast right in front of their faces to shew them away.
But instead of doing what would make sense and just walk away, they instead just defiantly sit there with a wencing look on their face as if they were a battered housewife or something. Which is funny because I’ve never once hit my cats.
I must admit, my cat absolutely loves a good scratch of her nether regions, but I suspect there’s a sexual element in there and I always feel a bit dirty doing it…
The dog I have was adopted by me and my boyfriend when we were together. Stitch will be going back to the shelter before I go out to the boat again sadly as you are correct that I cannot have a dog by myself, and my boyfriend broke up with me a few months ago. He doesn’t want to keep stitch however and I literally can’t even though I want to, because of my job.
He is a beagle mix so about 28 lbs I think.
I am going to miss him so much. We didn’t have him for very long but I grew to love him a lot in this short time and it’s very sad that I have to give him back to the shelter.
My dog and one cat enjoy rump smacking just where the tail extends. The dog probably likes it since he’s large and can’t easily scratch that spot. He still prefers a firm, but gentle smacking to a scritch though.
As mentioned, I finally figured out that it was more of a, um, sex thing for the cat despite being spayed at 10 weeks. Much as she likes it, it’s a bit too weird for me to keep doing it.
